I shoot him with my concealed Glock 10mm.

Why do you think I have it, and my concealed weapons liscense?
Aren't Glocks 9mm? I'm probably wrong because I don't really like Glocks (the ones I fire always jam).
They have 9mm and 10mm versions.

Mine is a 10mm.
Strange, I never knew that there was a 10mm bullet. I guess you learn something new everyday.

I have a 20mm bullet shell in my room which I use to hold a few pens.
Awesome.

But yeah, mine is a Glock 29, if you were wondering.

Now, we better stop derailing.

I'd drop to the floor or put my hands up. Or, if possible (like, if there's an aisle right next to me) try to run for cover.

Why is there no option for me to draw MY gun and lodge a hollowpoint in the juicy center of his brain???

If he's looking in my direction, crouch down and pull anyone next to me down. As soon as he's looking in another direction, pull my gun and shoot him in the back until he falls down. <3 USA.

I selected "shield loved one," because that's what I did when it happened.

Shield loved one, because I always wanted to know how it feels to be shot. Hopefully not fatally, but...

the .40 caliber is basically the size as a 10mm. The 10mm auto actually predates the .40 S&W which was devised to overcome some of the size issues that came with the guns that fired 10mm auto ammo.

Create the diversion by pushing an old lady in front of me, then going behind him and kicking his kneecaps out.

What?

Its a beautiful day in where-ever-the-hell-you-live-ville you are at the "insert local shopping centre here" its very busy. But there is evil aloof, a man pulls a gun, and turns in you your direction. You cant tell if he will shoot or not. What do you do?

Me loved one comes first, I'd stand in front of them in a blink of an eye.
I live in a small village with one small shop that also acts as the post office. So it's not very busy and somone is unlikely to threaten anyone with a gun there. ... Maybe with a newspaper...

If it were to happen, I chose "try to disarm him." Of course what I should have chosen is "Flee." It seems the most sensible option.

Other, naturally being pull my mum's gun from her holster and stick a few lead rounds into the filling of his Cadbury Creme Egg-head.
No, I can't legally carry, and no, I don't own my own, yet.
But damnit, once Illinois wises up and goes "Fuck, we're damn slow, seeing as about every other state has a carry permit of some sort, and we just say 'Nah, them criminals will obey the law and not have guns, so why should you, safe citizen?'"
Fucking Communist State of Illinois...

I wouldn't break eye contact for a split second, as well as immediately shielding any loved ones. I'd talk to the guy as both a distraction and to try to calm him down, perhaps distracting him for someone to disarm or dispatch him.

I'd like to think I'd shield a loved one.

In reality, I'd probably breakdown and cry.

Woah, woah, woah woah, sweet child o' mine.

Duck into another aisle and use cover until I can bring a knife to bear on him...
A man who does not carry a weapon is either a fool, or a pacifist... and thus a fool.
In this world violence is everywhere, and if one does not act accordingly to defend one's self one is bound to be directly influenced in a negative way by it at some point.

also if a knife is less than 6" it's legal in Canada to be carried on one's person, and I know how to use one well... if i got caught carrying anything else that i might get to defend myself with I'd be screwed... and if i pulled a gun on him and killed him in self defense... I'd be locked up for possession of an illegal weapon.

A crowded and in-the-process-of-being-robbed shopping centre is no different from a fire IN ANY WAY!!! So follow the trusty fireman's code. (Assume that everything in the robber's line of sight is on fire) Stop Drop and Roll, his laughter will be absolute that he will be brought to tears and be unable to see you (FIRE EXTINGUISHED!!!) then you Get Low and Go, Go, Go!

Hmm, lotta people here don't know the full force behind a bullet. No they do not simply sink in and allow you to continue on on adrenaline to pummel the guy. It's more like being punched in the shoulder by a football player who wants to seriously harm you. And his fist is made of lead. That dislodges your bone.

Seems a lot of people also don't know the Difference between a clip [http://farm1.static.flickr.com/58/191474354_93c421a1e7.jpg?v=0] and a magazine [http://www.paraproshop.com/images_products/1015_big.jpg]

Although, personally, I'd try to do the same thing. depending on range either beat as much of him as possible, or dodge, dive, dip, duck and dodge to find something that's either:
A- long, hard, and has a bit of weight
B- About 3-5lb's and nicely sized for throwing

Also, just to clarify, According to Canadian law: if the knife blade is shorter than 12 inches (ie. 11 7/8") then it is legal to be carried while concealed. (But I think it can't be a switch-blade/Butterfly knife/Assisted opening knife)

gotta go with talking... my best talent is enlighting someone to the stupidity in their reason and reasoning in a situation and convince them there is a easyer (and less stupid) way which they then do to feel smart
