Ugh, I hate the term "equality" when it is used to refer to female rights. Not because I believe that equality is a bad thing. Quite the contrary. I mean that "equality" means, more often than is acceptable, "equal rights, but I get to keep my special treatment."
Now, I'm most assuredly not saying that all women are like this. I'm sure it is just the vocal minority. This doesn't stop the use from irritating the hell out of me.
Take for instance, my friend who shall remain anonymous. Last year, he ended up splitting up with his girlfriend, and it must have been messy in some way. Her friends decide to enact "revenge" and began clawing at his face and ripping out his hair (horrifically stereotypical, I know).
When he shoved one of them into the wall, was he guilty? The nearby teacher sure thought so.
Where does the word "equality" stop applying? I ask this honestly, and with no anti-feminine bias.
