Poll: honest opinion on portal2

Looking around the web I've noticed there are only 2 groups of people that are getting their views across on portal2.
Either they belong to the "best game ever" category, or the "this game sucks" one.
Personally I think it's awesome, but my head hurts after a few hours from all the puzzles. I've not had a chance to play the co-op yet as I'm waiting on my friend get his copy delivered, so my opinion is only based on the single player.

I laughed for a good portion of it.

It was fun, had to think about a few of the puzzles, and the voice acting was superb.

Do kinda wish the last battle was a little bit more difficult, but hey, I enjoyed it immensely anyway.

Best game I have personally played to date.

I wouldn't go so far as calling it the best game ever, since there's plenty more to come in the future, but... well, no other games has ever had me playing for about 8 hours straight (I probably would have beaten it all in one go, but I was falling asleep at the controller.)

I wouldnt say its the best game ever but its certainly the best Ive played this year so far and one of the best I can think of in recent memory. It did what a sequel should do which is add things to the core gameplay of the last one.

As much as I like it for the humor, the interesting puzzles, and the atmosphere I dont think it was as good as the first one, but its still a good game

Probably one of the best games I've ever played. Great writing, great voice acting, great gameplay, etc.

I voted the first choice because while it may not be the best game ever, it's better than awesome.

Not the 'best game ever', but it's funny, and the new stuff feels like its a legitimate reason for a new game. The ending, however, is awesome.

It is not the best game ever, because ever is a long word, and I hope gaming will continue to improve ;-)
But the game is absolutely awesome, I loved it all the way.
No, it is not flawless. It is a bit easy, a bit short, some of the puzzles just have you looking for the right place to put a portal, nothing more.

But apart from that I was laughing, cursing and cheering pretty much the whole time!

It was a non-stop ride filled with the sort of puzzles that really have that "AHA! i've got it!" quality. Especially co-op.

Honestly, it's one of the best games I've played. I thought that Valve would have trouble keeping the constant stream of puzzles from getting stale and old. The brilliant character work, witty writing, insanely good soundtrack and clever level design all negate those worries. I was also surprised at how long the SP campaign is.

I have a few criticisms with some of the puzzles, but the frustrating bits are few and far between and don't detract from what is one of the most engaging games I have played. Absolutely filled with charm.

I would also like to make a note on how good the Source engine looks.

Best game? Nonono, I don't want the new memories to fuel it, I want to see how it holds over time.

Awesome? You bet your ass. Hilarious, thought provoking, very interesting story, and very, very good ending.

You know, this is what is really lacking in a lot of games. A decent ending which gives us some fucking closure.

I am so, so tired of the sequel-bait endings we get spoon fed to us.

It was what it was meant to be, a worthy successor to Portal.
The voice acting, story, and characters were all great, and i believe it surpassed the immersive environment of the first game.
The game is long enough to be worth $50, it is a full length game, and the co-op doubles that length.
The ending sort of wrapped it up, it almost brought a tear to my eye to see the great story come to an end.
Overall, a great experience, it will be one of the top games of 2011.
