My first name is Jake, insanely common.

I know 4 other people in my school called Jake, and I only know the people in my year.

However I go by my middle name Wesley, which is damn rare, especially on a white guy. Never heard of anyone else with it.

My name is Uglje?a (pronounced Uh-glay-sha). Incredibly rare. It was fairly common in the medieval times where I live (Serbia), but not so much now.

I polled mine Rare, as I get people asking me about my name all the time. I see it every now and then, but not frequently. Seriously, you'd think that 'Duane' wouldn't be so far fetched.

Ryan. Yep, no shortage of that name in the world. Hell, someone who I went to school with had the same exact first and middle name as I do.

I think I only personally met two people in my entire life with the same name as me (Cole).
My last name is extremely common though.

Adolphus

The actual namesake is the swedish King/general Gustavas Adolphus who is largely credited with helping protestants win the 30 years war...Does that stop people from calling me Hitler?

No.

It's swedish and i'm sure more widely used in Europe, but in the U.S, me, my father, and some random I met at a park are all I can recall.

I'm African-American by they way. My dads Jamacian, so I guess it has something to do with the British.

And Yes, finding out about Adolf HItler, since it's pretty much the same name, did fuck with my head a bit. I got over it.

How many of me.com Says...

?There are fewer than 1,559 people in the U.S. with the first name Adolphus.

Looks like there's just over 1 million people in the US with the name "Gary", so nothing terribly special there, but my last name (Boba) seems to only be shared with a certain space bounty hunter.

Scratch that, looks like there's a guy in Illinois or someplace that has my exact name... we should go find Boba Fett and start a club or something.

My name's Crispin which I find is very rare. I can think of two people who are also called Crispin who aren't the saint or a children's book character and that is the Prisons Minister for the UK Crispin Blunt and some BBC reporter.

I put "common" because I've met a few people named Jack in my life, and it's a decently popular name from what I can tell. That's in real life, though.

In fiction, Jack is quite common, with me having starred in Jack and the Giant Beanstalk and Jack the Giant-Killer in terms of fairy tales. I'm also nimble, quick and good at jumping over candle sticks.

Jack is also generally used to portray a down-to-earth, straight-shooter, working-class kinda guy (Madworld's protagonist, Third Watch, several other television shows, Mad Jack from Heavy Rain, that sort of thing).

Also, according to www.behindthename.com:

Derived from Jackin (earlier Jankin), a medieval diminutive of JOHN. It is often regarded as an independent name. During the Middle Ages it was very common, and it became a slang word meaning "man". It was frequently used in fairy tales and nursery rhymes, such as 'Jack and the Beanstalk', 'Little Jack Horner', and 'Jack Sprat'. American writers Jack London (1876-1916) and Jack Kerouac (1922-1969) were two famous bearers of this name.
So, yeah. Sort of common?

William, which nearly 4 million people in the US alone have, but I'm somewhat different from the norm as I don't go by Bill, or Will. I also have the last name Noble, which is much smaller at a bit over 40K, but together, there is only 571 people name after me. Hip hip hooray?

Also, isn't William very popular in England and Scotland, along with Wilhelm in Germany?

I'm the only person I've ever met who's name is Mathew with one "t". I'm not sure if that entitles me to being uncommon, or just plain old "Matthew" common.

Extremely rare. I don't let people I haven't met face to face know it because it is so easy to find me. >.>

I think it's very rare in US, perhaps a bit less in Europe. It's Marino btw and it's supposed to mean "of the sea" according to random "name meaning" webpage.
