Adolphus
The actual namesake is the swedish King/general Gustavas Adolphus who is largely credited with helping protestants win the 30 years war...Does that stop people from calling me Hitler?
No.
It's swedish and i'm sure more widely used in Europe, but in the U.S, me, my father, and some random I met at a park are all I can recall.
I'm African-American by they way. My dads Jamacian, so I guess it has something to do with the British.
And Yes, finding out about Adolf HItler, since it's pretty much the same name, did fuck with my head a bit. I got over it.
How many of me.com Says...
?There are fewer than 1,559 people in the U.S. with the first name Adolphus.
