I tend to swear when ever I'm trying to emphasise somthing, am angry, or both so I swear on a pretty regular basis.

I feel it holds little purpose.
I'd like to hold this as an example-
In the Game Skryim, Characters use profanity, but it's what I like to call justified profanity. They don't curse every 2 words, and when they do, it's mostly emotional, and it feels justified.
In the Game Gears of War 3, the characters use profanity like no other. Nearly every sentance. It just goes over the line. Profanity can carry weight into emotions, but there is a fine line between over using it.
I honestly hate people who curse all the time. It makes you look like an idiot, honestly.

For the record, I'm not a big fan of profanity, it just doesn't suit me. Sure, like everyone else, I swear occasionally, but not as often as most people.
Unfortunately, my friends curse quite a bit, and, to be quite frank, I find that it gets on my nerves extremely quickly. I mean, really? For god's sake!
Constantly swearing isn't funny. It's lazy, uncivilized, and utterly witless. Annoying doesn't even begin to describe it. Unbearable. Maddening. Kafkaesque, even. In fact, I've had it! I'm going to put my foot down!

People, please!
Enough is enough!
Nothing warrants it!
It's crude, immature, and vulgar!
So please, for fucks sake, stop swearing all the time!

Couldn't give less of a fuck.

I tend to moderate my language when I'm around a friend of the family who happens to be a priest, but otherwise I swear quite regularly. Both for emphasis and to relieve frustration.
This is basically my opinion as well. I'm pretty indifferent about swearing and I'll just ignore it if I see or hear it used every now and then, although it does start to annoy me if every other word that a person uses is a swear. I use to try and avoid swearing as much as possible, but at one point I just said to hell with it and stopped caring as much. I do try completely avoid swearing when I'm with family or out in public just to be polite, but if I'm on the Xbox with friends and no one else is in the house I do tend to swear fairly often, but that's about the only time that I do use a lot of profanity.

While I do use profanity quite frequently there is one thing I cannot stand. I HATE it when someone, usually a dude, calls a woman a *****. Disrespectful, unintelligent and just stupid. Of course there are evil sniveling girls, that's an exception. But I am talking women in general.

I am a fucking fan, though I do have the good sense to know when it should and should not be used.

I swear a lot, probably too much. I try to moderate it around people I don't know well, but it never really works. I blame my mum, she's always been really sweary.

I swear frequently when I'm completely comfortable with the person I'm talking to and there aren't too many others around. I don't swear around my family though. I try to speak clearly and in a civil manner when in most other scenarios although often I'll speak sarcastically or make jokes.

I'm originally from Scotland. What do you think? I have a mouth like a sewer.
I'm not from Scotland but I'm constantly on skype calls and talking to a boy from Scotland...well few boys....but one in particular. He tells me I sound like I'm from despite my American accent. Though I've been told by other guys in England that I occasionally develop a nice Glasgow accent if I get angry/tired enough.

I only moderate my language in professional settings when I'm "expected to be a lady".

I do swear, but not excessively. I hit myself in the face with a spoon by mistake, I might swear...probably just laugh though.

Profanity is fine when it makes sense in context.

It starts bugging me when you're watching a movie and all the characters are saying fuck all the time as if the writers wanted to pad out the script

I swear a lot. So much so I don't even notice. It actually puts a lot of people on edge, I found that out during University.

It's like, whenever I say someone is a "Fucking bastard" normally, it's like I mean "Oh you silly sausage!".

I swear all the time. It just rolls off the tongue and comes to mind so much quicker than using complicated and posh wording.

I try to avoid heavy cursing in public, but I find the idea that certain words are somehow "bad" or in any way worse than the double fist-full of other words that mean the exact same thing to be supremely idiotic. A couple years ago my friends and I actually started using our class titles as curse words to show how stupid it was. Physics is actually a pretty satisfying curse. Calculus is a bit too long, but Calcing works alright ;)
