Poll: How do you like escapist's new look?

It feels a little odd to be able to see everyone that is online.
Well, overall, it seems to be an improvement in functionality.
Not sure if I like the aesthetic...

What do you mean, there's no organization for columns and reviews? The review archive is now alphabetical, and columns are arranged by author. I guess I'm just not sure what you mean?

Sorry, that was my mistake. Now that I'm a bit more familiar with the layout I've noticed the way the front-page stuff is organised: features and SP at the top, columns on the left, news in the middle, and reviews on the right. With the unfamiliarity of the new layout it just took me a bit to figure out how the stuff was organised.

I like it. It has the same easy-on-the-eyes colours, it's a bit more minimalistic, and since I don't use the main page, I don't have any issues with it.

I'm fairly indifferent. I open straight into ZP every time, anyway, so the only real difference for me is that my inbox is at the top of the page instead of the side.

The difference I like the most isn't the redesign, but the TF2 Tournament background color. I like the beige more than the dark blue.

I don't like it, I only just started so I can't blame not liking it on being used to the old design. Yeh, it has a few more THINGS but the "whats new" column isn't as good, it has less info.

It should actually have the same information - just a slightly smaller font size and different colors to make it fit in the new space.

Once you add in the additional tab on the box, it really has more info than it did before.

I'll give it a few weeks then decide.

Right now I'm, still in the "Arrrgh it's different and unfamiliar and I hate it because nothing's where I expect it to be!" phase.

The new news article browser is good though, it speeds up looking through the old articles very nicely.

I like it quite a lot, seeing as it has been improved in almost every way. Although I can't help feeling that both the articles page and the home page are quite cluttered, and that the home page has become much less spacious (maybe the amount of TF2-stuff has something to do with this?). Maybe a bit of time to get used to the design will help but I can't say I completely approve of the new look at this time...

Agreed, the actual design scheme is good though.

Reading the forum part is a little trickier as it's smaller and blue on white however.
