i hate this new design. I didn't ask for a new design. I don't want one. I was perfectly happy with the old one.

Glad you are liking the new look! We're getting used to it, too, even though we've been looking at it design-wise and bug-fixing-wise for months. Using it functionally is very different. I looked to the right when I first logged today for my messages. :p

To those of you feeling confused/alone/scared/dizzy: I suspect that soon those feelings will give way to the familiar feelings of warm and fuzzy. What I'm enjoying seeing is that the vast majority of you are being friendly, saying you'll get used to it, and even expressing your confidence in our team that we've done good work, despite your concern. That trust and positivity is why it's safer here, and why we love our Escapists so much.

I really like it but the only thing that bugs me is that the links to the latest posts are a little bit too small for me.

Ignoring the fact that it takes my slightly more time to find things since the new layout was kinda confusing at first, the new layout seems pretty nice. Guess it's just a matter of not being used to the new design.

Looks cleaner, but it did take me a while to find the "log in" button...But that might me.

You know how often this team does bad work? Never! That's how often!

Just like anything new I have to get used to it and in my opinion the front page is a bit more busy that I like but I highly doubt they'll switch it back to the way it was before because I complained.

I don't like it, I only just started so I can't blame not liking it on being used to the old design. Yeh, it has a few more THINGS but the "whats new" column isn't as good, it has less info.
It should actually have the same information - just a slightly smaller font size and different colors to make it fit in the new space.

Once you add in the additional tab on the box, it really has more info than it did before.
gottit, didn't see that. Ok then its fine i guess.

Yes, my thoughts exactly. I'm sure I'll get used to it, but I would welcome back the oiginal, more pale blue any day.

Love it, now there's everything here. Shamus Young, Doomsday Arcade, Unskippable.. and it looks fine.

Well, I like it. It looks crisper, more modern and, most importantly of all, shinier than before.

However, against it, I think that the main page is far too cluttered, certainly more so than the old design, although that may have something to do with all the shininess of the new design getting in the way.

I don't really like the fact that because I have to increase my text size, some of the text on the homepage (specifically stuff like log out and new message, at the top) gets obscured. I can't see them because they're going outside the box that they're in. Irritating.
at least, I'm assuming there's text behind there

Otherwise, indifferent.

I think that people are bothered with front page because there's no borders between articles, so it looks kinda cluttered :/
But that's the point of minimalistic design so... it should probably stay this way :)

Ha, further examination of the home page reveals:

I hate it when websites do this whenever the text size has to be increased, it's way too common nowadays, makes it look bad. LOOK AT THAT TEXT. LOOK AT IT.

But that's just because you increased text size. :-/ What did you expect?
If you want everything to be readable to you and without clutter you should just zoom in (CTRL & +), not increase text size
