I steal quite a lot of stuff, but don't pickpocket often (namely because last time I did, I managed to set the whole of Megaton against me). But I still have quite high karma, as I don't bother killing that much. The only notable place being Arful (?, the place were Lucy West's family live).

I did however make a file in which to be a git, and blew in Megaton, not before negotiating my fee up 500 caps. And then once payed subsequently killed Burke and Tenpenny, as I liked their clothes, and using a combination of missiles, grenades and a flamer proceeded to kill everyone in Tenpenny Tower.

And finally I made a neutral file, were I told Lucas Simms about Burke, who upon confronting Burke, was killed, then I killed Burke and looted both bodies, then defused the bombs, and celebrated by killing the caravan traders outside Megaton, (who I would recommend killing at the start, as if you can kill them, they drop some good stuff, you can make a quick cap selling the unwanted stuff, and the respawn quickly).

I'm a saint in that game, and I get a kick out of it (everyone loves in the waistland). I was considering going neutral or evil when I started playing, but really, the waistland does'nt need more assholes so I decided to fight "the good fight". I'm great at lockpicking, at hacking computers and I'm an expert on big and small guns; and going into paradise falls, armed to the teeth, along with Paladin Cross (whom I have also armed like a mother...er) and whiping out EVERY SINGLE SLAVER is just a scene to behold.

I play the twofacedgoodtosho.
Escentially, I complete ever quest as non-violent as possible, receieving the 'best' reward in the process (Well, most of the time.). After I do that, I then slaughter the person who gave me the quest, stealing anything they have on them.

The only person I had conflicts with killing was the lady in Megaton, who does the survival guide quests...
Mostly because she's so dammned insane!
And, because she was my go-to-guy-merchant. ;)

I played with a busted disc that froze when I tried to enter the capital wasteland, and now I play with a game that wont work cause DRM only accepts the original disc.
You should just get a no-disk patch that overrides DRM. Or exchange it for a new copy at the store you purchased the game from.

On topic, I play like I'm Jesus reincarnated(no offense to anyone). Now that I'm on my second run-through I'm playing as the polar opposite.

I am the evilest person around. I've completely slaughtered Big Town, Tenpenny Tower, the Republic of Dave (leaving the children to fend for themselves) and various traders. Paradise Falls is scared out of their boots of me and give me gifts all the time.

I like to be neutral, but i end up being greedy and taking/killing more than i should so i end up slightly more evil than i want to be.

I was an evil bastard to the very end. The game somehow wants you to be evil... every step for being good you get sunshine and flowers, while for being bad you get ammo and money(which in this radioactive future are quite useful)

I killed Smiling Jack at Evergreen Mills to get the Terrible Shotgun (which ROCKS btw), and I kinda feel bad about it, even though he's basically a raider who stole all the stuff he's selling. Well, I did feel bad, for a few seconds... until I saw how easy it was to kill with my shiny new shotty ^__^

I do the quests with good karma all the way then when I finish as very good, I steal everything and go back down to neutral.

I tend to be the kindest kleptomaniac in history. (If they need it, it stays, if they don't, it's mine.) I also looked into stealing from the Republic of Dave's ballot box(and NukaCola), because let's face it, President Daddy is a dick. I've been plotting Moriarty's 'disappearance' for quite some time now, haven't enacted it.
Old Painless is in Dave's safe. It's a more powerful and faster (reloading and shooting) Hunting Rifle. If you take it though, he won't be happy with you. Luckily, I was there on the 'Strictly Business' quest (enslave some people in different locations, you get it from Paradise Falls) so I already planned on looting him.

Does Moriaty have any good loot? I'm already on bad terms with the 'Megatonnites'...Residents of Megaton, so, what the Hell. What could one more murderous rampage do anyways?

I was a goody two shoes, the whole way through, except for when I stole a book (I think it was the Nikola Tesla one) from Pinkerton under Rivet City. He didn't care for that and started to attack me with his assault rifle (crazy old man), I really felt bad for taking his book so I just shot his legs with my combat shotgun and left him to fend off the mirelurks, but other than that I was a flipping saint.

I ended up a goody two shoes. The game actually does a good job of throwing past misdeeds in my face. I tried being evil but I felt like a jerk so I started over and ended up a goody two shoes.

Actually the only reason I play the good guy is because whenever I'm "evil" and kill someone their psychic powers kick in and everyone wants me dead. How do they even KNOW that I put a grenade in Collin Moriarity's pants? You figured a psychic town would have at least wondered what I was doing to their bomb when I stuck a big fat fusion pulse charge on it.

Plus, I can't kill the kids, so I can't be deemed the worst of the wasteland since I can't kill it's most precious resource, is there a mod for this yet?

Wait, you can shoot legs off? And they actually lie on the ground and fight with a pistol or something? I thought it just killed them.

Good is it's own brand of evil.

Murdering your way through the scum-pits of Evergreen Mills and Paradise falls, Dismembering Tenpenny's corpse and tossing it off his tower to land among the corpses of his residents, reaping gifts from villagers for my 'goodness' and enjoying Three Dog's praise.

Good: All the fun of mindless slaughter with none of the attached stigma.

I've played for a few hours now, and I can't remember shooting a leg off without killing the guy (OK, i mostly shoot them in the head anyway). What I did see however, is that they move slower after being hit in the lower body. I'll try this evening to see if you can shoot some body parts off.
