When I was a kid I didn't realize it was an acronym. I pronounced it "Fa(ck)-qua," and now I can't stop myself. It's really weird.

I say "fack" for FAQ. I can't remember a time when I didn't say "fack".
And like many people have pointed out, this isn't an isolated case. It happens all the time. No need to freak out about it like this guy...

The normal way...

I'll leave the decision of which one I am talking about up to you.
the normal way is "F.A.Q." because it's an acronym; I have no clue when people started trying to pronounce acronyms...

lol --> lawl
MMORPG --> Ma-Mor-Pa-Ga
FAQ --> Fack

how long until...
OMG --> Ohm-ga
WTF --> wha-tifff

I mean seriously people; what's with it? you're not being "cute" you're being annoying...
Pick your battles, fella.

I know it's common, I'm just wondering HOW common
and sorry if I was just being ticked, it's not saying like a word that bugs me so much as it's TREATING it like a word

it means FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS, not some gamer way of saying "Facts" with 2 less letters... (idiot Skype trolls...)

I like "fack" because it sounds like a word for a pseudo-fact or list of game "facts." So a GameFaq may not have facts in its walkthrough, but it's (usually) good enough to get you through the level, beat the boss, find the item, ect. In other applications, it works the same way because usually frequently asked questions respond with a collection of facts or "good enough for me" responses.

I like facks. I've always said facks and will continue to say facks.

Facks sounds like facts and that's a nice mnemonic connection. And it's easier than saying F-A-Cues. It's not lazy. It's convenient. Why should I over-work my tongue and lips on a principle?

So, look up some facks if you're lost or confused. Use a fack if you need one. It's mentally ingrained at this point.

There is only one way to say FAQ as a acronym, and that is FAK (by the way FACK is saying faek or fuck and fak at the same time, not really F as in fish, A as in rat and k as in yak.)

However you can still say EFF AE CUE (yeah you messed up on that one too, QUE would be KWOU) with out being incorrect, you simply are not using it in acronomic form, and you as well can say frequently asked questions, you aren't even using the acronym at all that way.
Help! I'm mired in pedantry and I can't get out!

Now, wait, is "KWOU," phonetically, "kwoo," or "kwow," or, perhaps, even "kwha?" The mire thickens O_O

I present the words back, track, whack and smack. Plus I'm sure there are others.
completely true, however, you would use a representation of even those word sounds as trak bak etc, and then counting fack is already used as a word, (a less hostile and comical form of "fuck" ) you cant use fack to represent the sound of faq
