So there are more seasons and more series of anime coming out. Do you wait for the entire season to come out then pir- purchase it (see moderators? I'm learning) or do you obtain them and watch them as they come out?

I'm asking this because I've never had to wait for anime to come out before and I've watched around 3 lifetimes worth of anime in the space of a couple of years.

With my eyes.
Seriously though, after the series has concluded, that way I can watch as many as I want without having to wait for the next one to come out.

this.

i understand it's really hard and risky to put shows out by seasons and such, but it is such a pain in the ass/stupid to watch each episode one by one, i just wait a few months and watch them all in a row without stupid ass commercials.

plus i have enough shows in rotation (probably like...15?) that i have something to watch each week regardless.

Depends if the series is still ongoing or not, if it's still going then I'll keep up with it weekly, otherwise I'll watch a few episodes in a row each day. The only ones I still watch regularly now anyway are One Piece and Naruto, anything else I'm interested in I'll read the manga.

I usually watch them as they come out. Then if I really like the anime, I may buy the English dubbed season dvds if available. Like the One Piece Season 5 DVD that just came out recently. And also the Tales of Vesperia movie which also came out in English on DVD recently as well.

I don't wait, I find it more fun watching a show and talking about the new episode because 90% of the time if you finish an older show everyone has already finished talking about it and they will be onto whatever is currently airing.
I have a (massive) backlog so I can always work on that between episodes.

I just watch it. find something interesting and then i pi..obtain it any way possible. doesn't matter if it's finished or still airing.

There's really no way for me to acquire anime any other way than fansubs, so It's really all the same for me.

Captcha: narrow-minded. maybe it is, but it's worked so far for me.

Well, I've got a bunch of shows, anime or otherwise, that I'm watching episode by episode. Though it's always nice when I forget about it/am busy and there's a backlog.

I've watched all twelve episodes of Deadman Wonderland out so far, plus the OVA and I'm eagerly awaiting more.

Depends on what type of series it is.
Plot based series I wait, slice of life and less substantial series I get'em as they come.
Though I do have a back log sometimes.

And how I am suppose to do that when the anime doesn't get released here? Like 1% gets released on DVD. 0.01% gets released on TV.

First I "obtain" the anime. Then if I like it, I'll import it from the U.S. or U.K. depending on the series and price.

What I usually do is buy the DVD when it comes out. That way, I can watch it without waiting for each episode to come out and still get that warm fuzzy feeling of contributing...whilst my wallet empties and weeps.

I mostly watch things that have already finished. I buy DVDs or watch them online, through services like Netfix or official YouTube channels. I've viewed anime through other means, though.

I really wish that I didn't have to order my anime online, though. There's no good retailer near me and shipping costs really hurt.

Pretty much this, though I started reading scanlations of Naruto as it comes out because the anime dragged on a bit. As for One Piece I only started a month ago or so, I'm just about caught up in japanese, so I'm gonna rewatch the funimation dub, hopefully by then the funimation dub will have caught upa bit more (it really is a good dub).

I rarely buy my anime though as the boxsets either don't come out in the UK or cost too much for the amount on them. £20 for 13 episodes isn't an awful price, but I just don't like buying DVD's as it is. Especially since, in the case of One Piece, they're like half a story arc then half the next arc, not just full arcs. Kinda off-putting, when there's a full boxset after One Piece concludes in a few years I'll pick up a complete box set. I do have a lot of the manga purchased though.

At three in the morning cuz that's how true men roll

I read manga that i'm up to date with in about a month or so intervals each so they have time to stack. I'm on 202 of TWGOK at the moment and i'm guessing it'll be around 208/210 now. I can read any amount of manga no problem. i'll gladly start a 200+ series from issue 1 cuz my reading speed is really dang good.

I'm thinking of restarting Medaka Box since that got really good after it jumped the shark and got more classy and interesting. It's still ongoing now and I haven't looked at it in ages.

I watch anime when they come out, if one holds my interest anyway. Remember that totally awesome mystery anime called Another that came out last (one before last now?) season? Couldn't wait to get through the newest episode. Same with Hyouka, which is unfortunately over now :(

The ending was a little shaky in my opinion but it was still rounded out decently.

Fuck it, i'm firing up Another again. So hype.

Also fuck it, i'm blowing through the rest of TWGOK now. Also so hype.

[sub]The new arc is awesome, I don't know how it is but it is[/sub]

Anime episodes are too short and cliffhangery (not a word) to watch as they come out. I pira- i mean buy all manga's neatly on dvd when the series end.

Depends if it's a new, ongoing series or not. I only buy the anime I really enjoy, since I'm not a fan of online shopping.

I don't have the hard drive capacity to "pir-chase" it. Nor would I want to, since I'd probably just delete it after watching anyway.

I use the Internet's various sites dedicated to the viewing of anime.

When I do follow a series, I tend to marathon whatever I've missed until I'm caught up, and then watch as it goes along. Same goes for really any TV show, anime or not.

I would love nothing more than to purchase all the seasons of my favorite anime, but there's not a shop around here that sells them, nor do I want to purchase them on amazon because of having to deal with delivery dates.
