I'm not that forgetful...with unnecessary things. Major things I can forget quite quickly

I've noticed a great way to remember names and faces is to say the person name back at them in conversation a few times when you meet them.

Ahem. Yes, I forget the most trivial things all the time. On more than one occasion I forgot how old I was. And only just now did I remember there was already another memory-based topic somewhere around here.

I'm very unintentionally selective of what I remember sometimes. Usually I just forget small things or stuff like a paper I need to take with me when I leave to drop off the same paper.

Birthdays. I know my immediate family and my best friend, and that's it. In my iPod there is a huge list of birthdays that I need to remember lest I be seen as cruel (5 year old cousin, for example). Thank god for alarm clock calendars.

Anyways, I can never remember anyone's name unless I need to constantly say it for several hours or days constantly. Even then, I'll sometimes forget it.
What's really bad is on MSN, when people have new names. I can never remember anyone's name...

my parents uses my home key instead of their own, so i have to look for 15 min when i'm in a hurry.
