Not the British system, so I'm a little lost

I've finished mandatory education (GCSEs and shizz) and I've now started Sixth Form, though I have no idea what that is for Americans.

Oh! We also call it "Post-16", does that make any sense?

I only have High-School Diploma, but I have gotten certifications as well which is my industry's version of college. Future reference, you should also include certification\trade-schooling.

Although, I always wished I hadn't hated school, cuz I would have enjoyed programming...

Currently, I'm in my second year of College, studying Engineering Computer Science. My problem is I have discovered a great many fields that are fascinating enough that I'd love to study them in depth, but unfortunately a lack of funds (and time) will prohibit such a course.

As far as books go, I probably spend between 600 - 1000 USD a semester on books. The most expensive was my Calculus book, costing nearly $300. My cheapest was the "textbook" for Business and Professional speaking at about 95 USD. Given that I never once cracked open the book and that it was written by and printed by my university, i'd say I felt just a little cheated.

Polls can only have 8 options. What trade would that be?

I'm still working my way through high school. In several AP and Honors courses, which if it works out will hopefully get me into a good college, and if not might drive me to kill myself.

I figure if I'm going to gamble, it may as well be with my life.

I'm aiming for a good college too. Hopefully in the NYC area, since then a) I can stay at home (yes I want to at least for my first year, to ease into things) and b) it's in the fucking NYC area. I think the potential benefits of that are pretty self-explanatory.

Right this thread is unfair.

"Still in high school/did not finish high school" is totally not a fair lumping together =P
The polls can only get eight options (at least, it should be), and if he spread out all of those, he would have nine options.

OP: I just started college. One week ago, actually.

Bachelors is 3 years, Masters is 4 years. I'm doing my bachelors in 2 years though with no much holiday. I'll have a degree by the time I'm 19 if all goes well.

I'm starting an undergrad in 2 weeks and... 4 days

Doing it for 4 years, with the third year being a year out to go work! :D

And the best part, I finish at 21, while some unlucky buggers I know doing the same thing won't finish til they're 26/ 29 and thats just an ungrad course.

Just imagine if they wanna do Masters.

Oh

I'm doing a BA in Computer Games Design at Teesside Uni.. Yay smoggyland!

Me, I have a BS in Chemical Engineering. A good degree to have since everyone seems to think that it qualifies you for any engineering job. And it is true since we Chem E's are the smartest of all the engineers *looks down nose at you*.

I currently work in Research and Development for the worlds largest snackfood manufacturer. So I literally get to play with chocolate every day.

Get a good education... it is worth it.

I just started high school two days ago, and they decided to put the classes that are furthest apart from each other back to back. Every other freshman I ask had that happen to them. Dumb scheduling bastards.

I am still in High School, I am a Junior in fact. I have one more year to go, then I'm not quite sure what I want to do.
