Your grammar doesn't make any sense. Capitals and proper spelling please.Pacman_69_42 said:ur poll makes no sense
I'm seriously impressed. You mean you wrote that ever-so-long post about the old Mainframe with one finger?RAKtheUndead said:This might be a good yardstick to determine how fast I type: I can write faster than I type. Seriously. I type at about 25-30wpm, and my maximum writing speed, including all punctuation and correct spelling, can be up to 40wpm. Even under normal circumstances, my writing speed is comparable to the lower limits of my typing performance.
I'm a one-finger typist as you may have realised; I never saw any particular reason to learn how to touch-type.
Like I said, I also use only 2 fingers on each hand, but only for some months now. I prefer to type with the two 'pointfingers' and I rarely make mistakes, good hand-eye co-ordination keeps it up.AverageJoe said:I'm one of those strange people who only use 1 or 2 fingers while typing, it just feels unnatural trying to use more. I'm noticing now I mostly use one finger on each hand, but switch to two for certain combinations of keys.
I'm pretty sure when I did a test my results were something like 70wpm, so faster than average at least, i'm not sure really if it's classed as 'good' or not but I know I type faster than most people I know. I reached this level of typing skill about 4 years ago and haven't improved since so i've probably hit the barrier of only typing with two fingers and the next step would be to learn how to type with more. It just feels 'wrong' when I try and i'm a lot slower and make more mistakes.
