Poll: How good are you at typing?

I use all fingers, but I can only type about 60 wpm, mainly because I make a lot of mistakes (wich take precious seconds to correct) and nglish isn't my native language. Doubt it'll be much faster in dutch though, I suck at spelling in any language.

Around 100-110 words per minute without mistakes. I could propably get it even higher, but any faster than that and there starts to be quite large amount of mistakes. Funnily enough that's when I'm writing in English. As soon as I start writing in Finnish without making mistakes my speed drops with 20 words per minute or so.

I use 4 fingers per hand, using my thumbs to write just feels awkward and drops my typing speed by at the very least 50%.

I learned to touch-type in my freshman year of High School. Nowadays, my words-per-minute speed varies wildly between 40 and 90.

I also tend to make many mistakes, so I've gotten used to using the backspace key as quickly and fluidly as any other keys.

At full speed I type around 110 wpm with few backspaces. I can hit 150 wpm with a lot of backspaces. My brother, in comparison, can type 120 wpm with many backspaces and he's a professional programmer.

But really, I have high doubts about your claim. If your sentences are indeed made of mono-silabic words, I can see that, otherwise I really don't think there's a proper way to actually type 2 words a second. Also, your wpm isn't calculated by how many words you actually type, it's about how many words you copy. But I'm very eager to be proven wrong.

I use 4 fingers on each hand, i can't really seem to get my ´little fingers to du anything usefull when typing. I use my thumbs as well though.

I type really fast - really, really fast, but only in very short bursts and when not looking at the keyboard. The reason for this being that when I played WoW, I played a mage, and so everytime I pressed the fireball key in a raid I had three seconds or so to type before I had to press it again (massive generalisation), and had to get entire sentences out in that time. So now when I type a sentence I end up instinctively twitching for the Enter key.

I can only type with two fingers on each hand. But my mum says that's no shame, so there!

I have a pretty decent speed when I punctuate getting to about 90 WPM, but when I stop punctuating and capitalizing it goes up significantly to about 120. and I use all of my fingers.
