Depends on the gameplay. I'm shit at button mashing, precise timing, accuracy and reaction time. But I can solve most puzzles, I can win any strategy battle and I can prepare for things with trial and error. Plus when it is timing, I can dodge like a beast.

A particularly cowardly beast.

I'm good with FPS and TPS on PC, On the console side i can hold my own but not much more.

I'm mediocre at best in Base-Building RTS like Warcraft or Red Alert, i tend to do okay on the more detailed ones like Dawn of War 2 and Men of War however.

I'm okay with the more advanced stuff like Total War and Civilisation.

I tend to do pretty well in RPG's, especially if i manage to concoct a solid skill/talent/Whatever build.

I suck at racing games but i do okay in fighting. The exception being Smash Bros which i have played far too much with my friends, we went to dreamhack (a huge computer festival in Sweden) where we kicked a healthy amount of arse.

I'm really good at RTS:s and MMORPG:s, usually top-tier actually, and better then average at FPS:s, even more so at BC2 since it's more complex then say MW2. I loved the 'Project Reality' mod for BF2 for instance. I kinda suck at those simple twitch-based games like Counter Strike (and MW2) and the like.

I prefer RTS:s without resource gatherers and simple rush-tactics. For me, Company of Heroes is still king (at least the earlier versions). That said, I still play AoE3 when in the right mood, even though I know it sucks.^^

But I'm only better-than-average when playing alone, when I can play in an aggressive-supportive role I really shine though.

Depends on the genre, really. I've been playing for 17 years now, and I've gotten pretty good at 1st and 3rd person shooters and hack-and-slashers like Devil May Cry. I also like RTS games, but to be fair I think my aptitude for them ranges between 'acceptable' and 'I just stumbled over my feet'. I'm decent at RPGs, but it's very hard for me to get into them (only finished 4 or 5 in my entire life). Sports games and racing games are a disaster, and I don't do well with simulations, either.

I'm okay at games, I just tend to suck if I don't play for extended periods.

I'm so competitive I won't play a game online unless I can get first every game.

I have made tens of thousands of dollars playing some videogames, and on the flip side I have been so bad that I would outright refuse to play dozens of games.

I consider myself to be a better than average player for the most part. Maybe a bit lacking/impatient at RTS. But I feel my general skill level is pretty well above the "casual" crowd, even though my gaming habits could probably fall into that (I don't play that often, really). I tend to do well for the most part, but also tend to have one or two issues with my playing in just about every game I go into that I just don't play enough to work through. Usually aren't crippling issues, but...eh.
Better than average but far from awesome, in a nutshell. :p

Sports games, RTSs and driving games don't interest me so I'm fairly 'meh' at them. Having said that, on the off-chance that I am enticed to play I'll never get slaughtered. You don't game for 11 years without picking up new control-schemes in about a minute.

FPSs I'm good-very good, online would depend on the game and the how long I've been playing for; I'd be terrible if I picked up CS:S again right now, but give me a week or so and I'll start picking up to decent level again.

I'd say all-round I'm a very good gamer. I'd say the genres I'm worst at are because they don't interest me, not because I'm terrible at them and incapable of improving.

I'm alright. I don't play like I did when I was younger, having a family, job, and such, so I can hold my own, but I don't kick everyone's ass like I was did.

I am ok at FPS's.

I am better at third person shooters.

I am good at MMORPG's (I know how they work, how to get gear, money, to level, etc)

I am crap at sports games.

I am pretty good at puzzle games.

I am great at RPG's

I have never played RTS's enough to tell.

So in general, I am not too good and not too bad.

It Depends on the types of games.

At Halo 3, I'd say I was good. I know the maps well and all the spawns, I can go on a kill streak fairly easily and I kick ass with the Spartan Laser.

On things like Modern Warfare 2 though, I'm not that great, the guns just don't feel right to me.

RPG's: I'm good at, I know how most RPGS are and can go through them a few times, the only problem is that some times I get underleveled, which is why I never completed Final Fantasy 3 on the DS.

RTS' I'm not bad at, I can counter well if I know the enemy properly, I use Scouts to my advantage and know how to give out and collect supplies, etc.

Sports games, I have no interest in.

Racing Games: I was brought up with Crash Team Racing, which I played to death. I do well in online Mario Kart as well.
Realistic Racing games, no, I just can't grasp them, I suck at them.

Fighting games, no again, unless it's simple like Super Smash Bros. Melee/Brawl.

I only play 1 MMORPG, which is WoW, so I'll talk on that. I'm a Hunter, and I'm fairly good, Arena Rating is 2400 and I'm in a solid raiding guild.

Depends on the game really. Shooters, platformers, RPGs, rhythm games, fighting games, and adventure games I tend to have an uncanny skill for.

On the other hand; twitch puzzle games, RTSs, and sports games I am unbelievably awful.
