Before the summer started (and the rugby season ended) I was quite muscular, and could pass my 16 stone weight of, as basically muscle. But now, I know I've gotten quite podgy in the belly area (although no where else weirdly enough), but I'm probably overweight now.

...Bummer.

I used to be muscular, then got out of college. I became over weight, but got tired of being fat and lazy and became fit again.

I'm over weight by about 0.4 BMI :)

Proves that gym is working then, Thank you for this thread it's given me more motivation. Maybe soon i'll be able to join all the "normal weight" people

Ya know what I love, the fact that fit or muscular aren't even an option on the poll.

It's hilarious (and insiteful)!
The fact that it wasn't in the poll is probably because fit or muscular has nothing to do with BMI. It is indeed hilarious that the BMI is used to see how healthy someone in, so in that regards I'm completely with you.

I'm a healthy person with a "normal" BMI and I'm trying to get (even more) muscular.

Slightly overweight, but I excersice and have better performance than many of those who weigh less than me. I could stand to loose a few kilos, but I'm comfortable as I am and I will not shed unnecessary sweat just to get rid of a few kilos that are liable to come back anyways.

I believe I have achieved my ideal body weigh: it is slightly above what some consider normal but I'm healthy, feel good and I'm in good shape. I think I'm better off with this than trying to force myself into a mould I was not meant to be in.

Overweight. But everyone knows that the BMI is bullshit. (Well, ok i REALLY AM overweight) But the weight alone does not indicate any health problems. (Except if you are so huge you cannot move by yourself right *g*)

Even when i was in perfect shape (years ago) i would count as slightly overweight. Depends all on build, musclemass, cardio fitness, genetic predispose(sp?) for fat storage and so on.

EDIT: Hm, ok BMI: 27.2.. 182cm height, 90 kilogramm weight (on a good day) When i train a lot (and stop eating all this caramel, ice, pudding and so on) i go down to around 84 kilogramm.

My BMI is 19, but it doesn't take into count body fat percentage. My doctor tells me my % is far too low, which seems to coincide with my job as a Ref and never having money for food.

My BMI ended up at around 23.5, since I'm not all that sure how tall I am or how much I weigh.
Yay?

I put down muscular but I'd truly discribe myself as athletic. I'm 5'11 and way 76.6 KG I dont if that counts as overweight I dont tend to read that BMI crap, and I carnt weight in anyother measurement as the scales I use only weight in KG.

Edit: I'm 5'9 and have no idea what the BMI is for me
