Poll: How intelligent do you think you are?

It's always amazing how often you hear people on the forums refer to the "unintelligent majority" of people, gamers, voters, or what have you. I was just wondering how you perceive your own intelligence compared to the other posters on the forums. As for myself, I am easily arrogant enough to consider myself smarter than average despite the fact that I am in high school. Have at it.

If standardized tests are anything to go by, I'm well above average. I believe it, too.

I know for a fact that I'm smarter than whatever "average" may be. You know, top of high school class, high scores on standardized and IQ tests, good scholarships, that whole shtick. However, I don't like to think of myself as being that much smarter than people. I'm fairly humble, sometimes too much so, and it always bugs me when people make me out to be some sort of prodigy.

I skipped a grade (the only time anyone at my school has ever let anyone skip a grade), so that must count for something. Also, I am a huge egotist, so of course I consider myself above average.

I believe myself to be somewhat above the average. Although I'm pretty sure that most people consider themselves at least a bit above average, so that isn't saying much.

Depends on how you quantify intelligence. Being booksmart is a common measure, but often lacks practical application. Are you smarter because you know many things or because you can do many things?

I'm smarter than the average bear. To wit, I scored in the top five percent of SAT scores across the nation. Also I used "to wit" properly in a sentence.

Depends on how you quantify intelligence. Being booksmart is a common measure, but often lacks practical application. Are you smarter because you know many things or because you can do many things?

I was mostly referring to testable booksmarts rather than common sense, but I'm assuming the average person here is higher than the average person period, so just IQ scores aren't really reliable.

Fair enough. Hard to tell about the standardization though, since educational standards took a dive during the Bush Administration.

I graduated from my high school as Salutatorian with an A+ average in my AP classes and scored 2215 on my SATs. Do with that information what you will.

Do I think I'm smarter than the average person? After speaking to many representatives of the "average person community" I can't help but draw that conclusion. As far as being smarter than everyone else here? Some of them, yes. All of them, no.

My IQ is 148, and I'm technically a genius. I usually put it to more productive things, though. I skimmed through most of my school work because I have yet to find a decent use for advanced math in the path I'm going right now...but hey, I may need to find the circumference of my snare...or not...
