According to Firefox grey is not a properly spelled unless it is capitalized. Of course, Grey is a common last name. So I'll go with Firefox, as it has yet to steer me wrong, and say it is spelled gray.

Usually as Grey - because all the books I've ever read had it spelt that way (I do not live in America). However, years of watching American TV and using the internet has occassionally caused me to spell it as Gray.

I use Grey, but I have doubted myself in the past and gone for Gray. Generally I'm a grey kind of guy.
