If by shot at, you mean someone firing a gun at me with the intention to kill me, then no.

If by shot at, you mean a bullet fired by accidental discharge by some dumbass at the range, that probably didn't even go in my general direction, but still scared the shit out of me, than yes.

I've also been hit frequently with airsoft pistols.

I've only shot a handgun twice in my life and that when I was a child.

I have never in my life shot a gun other than paint and pellet. Never plan to either.

I haven't been shot at I've heard shots go off nearby but nothing incoming so far. Though if you really want to experience some lead flying I suggest you take your KKK gear and drive through South-Central LA that is always a source of good family fun.

it was some stupid ass biker who was shouting out racist things because i somhow pissed him off by dating a black woman... by the way im white so that set him off.
i think it was a .9 mm handgun but im not sure, it was at night.
what an ass he was aressted later.

I almost got killed by a pacifist, I was in Beirut and in the 3 car convoy they stuck me in with a bleeding heart liberal and a pacifist and 2 more guys who had as much experience as I did, a week of "this is how you shoot" classes. the streets got real quiet and me and the other guy picked up our Uzis and the road got blocked up ahead and the way you get out of a situation like that is you pull your guns up and hopefully they will look at the guns and go "taking that car isn't worth it" but that fucking pacifist said that because he was not holding a gun they would not kill him. He's white, unarmed and in a Mercedes in a 3rd world country full of people who don't give a rats ass about who lives and dies so long as its not them.

Its a good thing I had a mean looking gun and we were traveling in a group, but to this day I wont even acknowledge those assholes in public.

I've been shot by a handgun (in the calf-- accidental discharge, so I guess that doesn't count) and by a shotgun, intentionally, rocksalt load (trespassing when I was 13; the property owner took exception and shot my running butt)-- the burning experienced sitting in the tub while the salt dissolved was worse than actually getting shot.

I will say this, I have several friends who are ex-armed forces, including one guy who served in the Panamanian conflict. They almost never talk about it, and when they do they only say things along the lines of 'do whatever you have to do to never be shot at.'

Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever even seen a real loaded gun IRL. Other than on those Hench security guards at Airports of course.
