No, there are different breeds, all dogs belong to the same 'species'.
Touché. Alright; which breed were you referring to then?

In a parking lot once, someone held up a store and felt the need to waste the rest of his bullets on it's patrons.

That is why you should watch Burn Notice.
It's like MacGuyver, but I am nearly positive that all of the mixes and techniques are realistic.

But anyway, if you're in a situation where you need to run for cover from heavy arms fire, you probably did something bad.
Obviously, you don't know exactly what I meant by "paranoid schiz". I am urgently trying to get enough money together to buy a bulletproof SUV (one that can preferably take a 50 caliber bullet. The kind from a sniper rifle.) with an expandable heavy machinegun with 360 degrees of rotation in the back, and enough room for 6 months of food, water, and gasoline (if I can fit a small grade water filtration system in that can convert rain water into drinking water, all the better) in the back. Oh, and a way for me to fill it up from the inside, naturally...

That may seem like a bit too much paranoia, but I get more death threats than the Secret Service could handle (an obvious exaggeration... But sadly not by much.). And these are from people I've met, not people online who are pissed over an XBL loss. I know three separate friends with access to heavy arms. One has a 50 caliber sniper rifle that he keeps under his mattress (no ammo, though), another has access to an armory I can walk to and not be tired, and the third... Eh... They're iffy. They have all the makings of a pathological liar, but claims to have used a sniper rifle in the past.

Those are all my friends, but if my friends have that kind of stuff, what do the people saying they want to kill me have?

A guy shot at me from his house, once. It was at very long distance (in the country), and he was probably just trying to rattle me, so it didn't have the emotional impact a "getting shot at" story should.

...My name is K9. A couple of attack dogs wouldn't stop me, I'm an expert on the species and have 3 of them myself. I would have them turned on you...Ahem, but that not a comment.
Running away, running very far away...
Gunshot wounds are pretty survivable if they don't hit any major organs, I think.
Psh. Screw that. Put up some turrets! I have about 238 around my house!
And I guess the survivability depends on the size and number of the bullet(s) that hit the person.
No need to fortify your houses...I'm not going anywhere till they let me outta this straight jacket.
Hold on...you wait until they let you out? But that's no fun! If you break out all the time, they try to develop ways to keep you in. That keeps life interesting.
(bides time) just fish'in in the dark. Wait what? If I try to leave my collar will explode.

I wasn't, I was referring to dogs as the species. Thats when you jumped in with "there are more than one species of guard dog". But I've had the most hands-on experience with German shepards, and Arctic wolves...in Texas.

I'm sure you can figure a way out of that...hint: those guards have to get kinda close to the door's slot when they give you your food...and they have keys!

I've been shot at by lots of things. Never anything deadly though

Worst thing would be one of those pointed metal pellets.

Somebody shot out one of the windows at the Pizza Hut where I worked. I was up front where it happened. The police took the bullet out of the wall. No one was hurt; it was totally random and scared the shit out of me.

What slot do you speak of? (looks around the padded room) I'm...No I don't follow...

Sorry, it's just that generally people don't have experience with all the different breeds of "attack dog". I just wanted to see which breeds you were referring to. Yeah, I'm nosy.

Hurm. Do they not have a door with a slot in it to give you food through? In that case, over a period of weeks, you should stick some of the padding from a wall of the room in between the back and sides of your neck and the collar. It might just stretch out enough. Then you can slip it off!
