I like fitness and working out but have very little interest in sports overall.

The only one I play is Squash with a couple of friends, but it's more like a competitive cardio-vascular session for me than anything else.

I like basketball and baseball to an extent, I don't really go out of my way to watch them but they're ok I guess.

I like to play sports myself, but watching others do them is really boring. With maybe the exception of handball, but that's only because it is the sport that I have most experience playing myself and understand all the tactics more deeply than in any other sport.

Love watch the soccer world cup, the only time I'm a true nationalist because for some reason the Netherlands excels at soccer, I can't bring my self to watch anything soccer related besides the world cup, I get bored out of my skull.

Love sports, both watching and playing. Almost only team based ones tho, no reason why really, just turned out that way.

I like sports as a whole, but I love football (not soccer, mind you), and I play it in real life more then watch it on TV...

so basicly I either like or love sports, depending on your definition...
why do you yanks call it football u carry it with your hands~?

OT: i like playing sports not really into watching them though
wierd thing is Im not american at all, and most of the people in my country call soccer "football".
but my choice to call soccer as soccer is because Im more familiar with football (american), and there isnt another name for football other then football. that and soccer isnt called football in my native language, but (american) football is called football (blame poor translation)
plus, its been called soccer at the start, why change it?

I absolutely love sports. I just fucking hate watching them.

I mean, seriously, what is the fucking point of watching something that you can just do yourself?

I love ice hockey. I love to watch it on tv, attend games, and play it on my 360 (I would play it but I can't ice skate that well). I do watch the occasional baseball or American football game but they aren't as exciting to me.

That was the greatest video ever. Leaving the best fight for last, i always like to back and watch Rob Ray fights. I am a huge hockey fan now living in what will become Hockey Heaven, but the NFL is hard to get into, probably because my home team is the Bills and they have been ill for the last ten years.

I don't tend to really watch sports, however I do enjoy playing them. The only thing I play at a competitive level is hockey (regular hockey not ice), where I play for a local team.
I then play various other sports like tennis and basketball with friends when it's warm.

I love rugby, and I like American Hand-Egg and football.

Don't start with that nonsense. It is called football. Deal with it.
Take a joke to heart more.

Please, do.
Kinda hard when the "joke" is repeated ad nauseum every time the topic is brought up.
I think people get so mad about this joke because it straight up makes sense, the only times you use feet in football are for kickoff, field goal, PAT, and punts. The time the ball is on a foot during a game is about 1:99999 compared to it being in contact with hands. How about we just use futbol for football, and let yall keep the nonsensical football.
I don't see why people can't just, know you, ignore it if you don't like it. It just comes off as being snarky to Americans.
I'm American too and I love handegg, at least college, I'm not following the draft as much as I should but that's what being a busy college student gets you. I also love football too, so it's frustrating when I start talking about football then someone's like "huh?" and I have to go "*sigh* soccer, the real football, ya know the one that uses feet and a ball?"
Lets end this while we are both civil. Not like the draft matters. Odds are there won't be a season this year, anyway. The NFL is already appealing that judge's decision to a pro-business court.
Ugh tell me about it. Although no matter what college football is gonna happen! I'm so pumped about that, even though the NCAA are taking pages out of the NFL playbook and being gigantic douchers.
Oh, you sold a jersey? 4 game suspension. We will continue to make money off of your image, though. Hypocrites.

Not a fan of most sports. I enjoy playing tennis, table tennis and biking. Not opposed to beach (or other kind I suppose, but not really a lot of opportunity for playing it since high school) volleyball either. However, I don't enjoy watching sports. I don't mind watching tennis and maybe even table tennis, but it's not something I'd normally do in my leisure time, maybe if there was an important game on and there was someone to watch it with.

Football/basketball/hockey/rugby/etc. though? Can't stand watching that stuff. Boring as all hell. Not great at playing either, last played football/basketball in elementary school and even then I wasn't really too good at them.

For a minute I thought you meant playing sports. Sports for me are something I really enjoy doing. I go kitesurfing, skiing, snowboarding, play badminton with friends, and go running but WATCHING sports?! What's the point? You're not enjoying any of the physical activities and people would say "Dur, we go cheer for team" and do this AT HOME IN FRONT OF THEIR COUCH? I mean come on wtf. So no for the record I don't enjoy watching sports on tv, only at a bar so I can get drunk and annoy my friends who are into this sort of stuff.
Because it's entertaining watching people who have such a high skill level play against others who are at that level of mastery. And to follow a team and have a vested interest in who wins. And to make brackets for tournaments and bet on them. Really, there are limitless reasons to like watching sports, but generally I only like watching faster paced sports (baseball is FUCKING BORING [to me]) but I absolutely love lacrosse, hockey, footbal, futbol, and to a certain extent basketball.

EDIT: and UFC, god how I love UFC.
Yeah I guess you have a point but I still find it more satisfying to be playing rather than watching

I've played hockey for the last 11 years, so I guess you could call me a pretty big sports fan if hockey is anything to judge by.

Besides that, I like playing most other sports. But I can't watch any basketball or soccer game, live or otherwise, without getting bored to death after 5 minutes. In basketball all that matters are the last 5 minutes, and in soccer, well, I just don't care about it as much in general.

I love sports. Football (soccer) and Rugby have got to be my fav's, tennis is ok and surprisingly i like a bit of golf. But i can not stand cricket, it's just awful.

Just recently watched my first basketball game as well, and that was pretty cool, so might start trying to find some matches on tv.

I take it you're a Georgia fan?

OT: I love pretty much all sports. My favorites are Football, Hockey, and Baseball (in that order) and I play all three of them all the time. I'm not really a fan of the NBA considering it's probably the most corrupt (besides the obvious Bettman love affair with Crosby) but I like College Basketball.
