Why should I tell you?

Depends on how I feel when I start a runthrough. Some games I don't name any of them. Some games I name them so only the initial letter is capitalized. Some games I nickname every goddamn last one of the little fuckers, either with initials that correspond to their final evolution's name, or with a nickname that is relevant to what they are (Maybe Lupus, Romulus or Remus for a male Ninetails) , or what their final evolution's name already references (Cleopatra for a female Fearow).

I used to not nickname any, but now I usually give most of my Pokemon weird names. I kind of regret doing that in Pokemon White because I have no idea what their actual names are.

Sometimes I'll go for theme naming, but usually I'll have someone named "potato" and another guy is "Rick".

I've only named my main party pokemon in blue.

Nidoking: Nidogod
Nidoqueen:Nidogoddess
Pidgot: Hurricane
Gyarados: Cyclone
Raichu: Gigashock

And for some reason I named Mewtwo "Mewthree". Yeah, I put a lot of thought into that one.

I used to love to name my Pokemon after Greek and Roman gods. Vulcan used Flamethrower! It's super effective!

Sometimes I do, for example I called my Magikarp Mr. Fish, after reading a certain awesome webcomic.

Rarely. One that I did nickname was my Victini. I named him/her/it Nike.

only pokemon ive ever knicknamed are the three muskateer pokemon, which i named respectivaly:
Coballion=Arthos
Terrekion=Porthos
Virizion=Aramis

I did the same but I r=tried to incorperate their names as well

I generally nickname pokemon that I use and give them shortened names or something related to that. I named a charmander I got "Char-Char" while I named some turtle pokemon (don't remember the name) "Sheldon". I also have fun naming my rivals like naming Gary, Mary.
