I have a lot of books over 3000

but none over !9000!
I see what you did there...

OT:Im not really sure. Book length does not really matter to me. The longest book I am read is a compilation of all 4 LOTR's in one book. IT is 4 seperate books, but I read through it all at once so it FELT like one book.
did you ever read the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy books in the "all in one" form

THAT will almost kill you

I have read them indevidually, so no :p But I can imagine!

Stephen King's It, about 1100 pages.
I think there's some books I've read with more pages than that, but I can't really remember.
Stephen King seems to be a very popular author on the Escapist.
I now really, really like this forum.
The only book I've ever read by him was Carrie, and I found that book hilarious.
It was basically outlining the entire troupe of Eldrich Abominations. The main characters, for instance, forget ever fighting It, simply because they could not have lived a normal life if they had not.
I read the synopsis on Wikipedia. Sounds like an odd book.
I can only say that I loved it, but then again I'm a bit biased...so, to each his own, then.
Not saying bad, just something different.
Oh, I know. I'm just sayin'...

I read the unabridged compilation of The Illiad and The Oddessy. Over 7000 pages.

You're right, it's not about size.

The Odyssey, not sure how many pages it had. Not a fan of reading long books, it makes me feel like I'm not getting anywhere and lose interest.

All you need to do is find books that you enjoy.

I'm not saying that there isn't a long book I don't like, I liked Odyssey, as well as a few longer books I've read, it's just that if I look at how many more pages I have, regardless of if I like the book or not, it always feels like a daunting task of reading that many more pages. It feels like I haven't gotten too far into the book, whereas if I pick up a smaller 200-300 page book then my progress is much more evident, which makes me feel like I'm accomplishing something. This is partly due to the fact that I'm a very slow reader and sometimes have to re-read stuff to get the most out of the text
