What the hell is a "libraty"? Is that like the freedom to read books?

Depending on what side of the counter you're on, 0-100% of my games are used. I always buy new games, but they become used in about an hour.

I buy new games, since they're not very much more expensive than used games as I buy them on-line and get them delivered, and I wouldn't buy a used game (again) without being able to see the disc.

I've only bought a couple of used games before, and the quality of the discs was awful (two had microscopic cracks which grew and snapped and 1 had a ring of scratches), and I spent double the money I saved buying new versions of the games, as the shop wouldn't admit they sold me shoddy products.

They problem with used games is that you have no idea or control over how the disc was handled by the previous owner, and for me that isn't worth the cheaper price.

They've stopped selling PC games second hand due to cd-keys and all that bollocks.

Makes sense, got quite irritated when I saw people selling Half Life 2 secondhand, whoever bought that won't be able to use it because of Steam copyright protection etc.
There are afew games like that.

They did accept afew of my PC games like Tomb Raider - Legend (and I gave that for more than I bought it for off play.com, back when it was good.)

Wouldn't trade in PC multiplayer games because I'm not that much of a dick.

I beg to differ, at gamestop you can buy used, with a 7 day return period. You can return it if you don't like it. What's not to love?

probably 99% of the 40-something games I own are used, and they all work fine. I think the last new game I got was Viewtiful Joe for PS2 and that was only like 10 bucks brand new.

I never buy games that I don't know if I will love. So when a game comes out I want it new

Around 80% of my games are used nowadays, the only time I do buy new is if its a game I am extremley interested in or am going to pre-order, no point paying full retail when you know trustworthy sellers.

I only have one or two pre-owned games.A lot of the prices for pre-owned games here are ridculous so there's not much of a difference in price between new and used, and I'd rather spend just a little bit more to get a copy that hasn't been used by anyone else yet.

Quite a few. Just a guess, but probably in the 61%-80% category. I don't like spending too much money on games so I buy a lot of around 2 year old games since they're usually damn cheap by then. Hell, most of the new games I buy are clearance titles on the cheap as well.

Almost all of them are used. I have an Edge card at GameStop and it's really worth it. The only games I don't buy used are my PC games and games that just came out and you can't get used. They work, too. The only used game I ever had a problem with was Dead Space and I took it back and got a better copy. Gaming is expensive enough as it is and the extra 10 dollars off really makes a difference.

I've bought a couple of games off Ebay, but I usually buy them brand new. Safer that way, and we don't have GameStop over here.

I think that buying used games pretty much is the same as stealing. The company sold one game, you just pay the store extra for it.
I only buy used games if I can't get my hands on it some other way.

I'm about 50/50. I'm not against used games, they're way cheap and are just as fun as new games, y'know?

I have never had a problem with a used game so I buy them when there is a game that I think I would like but don't need right away. So probably 65% would be used.

The prices :/ Used games are not worth 40-50 Euro. Of course, you can rip them off by playing the game for a few days and then saying it was shit, getting your money back. That's cool (never tried that, I think it's embarrassing... somehow).
