I've had mine since launch and it's still going strong. The only reason you hear more about broken 360s is because those of use who take care of them are too busy playing to complain.
I'm on my third. So, two, terminal, Red Ring of Death failures. All covered by the now extended 3 year warranty (only for that specific fault).ManiacRaccoon post=9.69052.648495 said:Just out of curiosity, I keep hearing about people who have had their Xboxes quit working in various ways and about people who have had to have theirs replaced multiple times, I was wondering just how common this problem was. I seem to be one of the few people who own their original Xbox 360 that they purchased the first time, though I've run into problems with reading discs, this is usually the fault of my local game rental store not checking for scratches. As of this post I've never had a system failure that wasn't caused by a power outage. Am I just really lucky in this aspect or is this problem blown out of proportion?
If this has been done before I'm sorry, but I searched the forums and found no previous posts concerning this.
