Failed out of my key courses in 3rd year university despite tutors and support. I'm not good with tests and it showed as I got closer and closer to getting my degree.

I'd likely have more success in college, but I've got no course to aspire to. I don't know what I want to be in life, and I'm sick of spending thousands upon thousands of dollars on a gamble. The reality is I'll likely remain an entry level grunt worker for the rest of my life...something I'm perfectly content with.

GCSE's, A levels and half a degree.

Got turfed out of university because I disagreed with a professor.........now thats what I call petty academic nonsense.
Dam you baited me, what was it about.
During a history seminar, I saw something on a tv documentary and asked whether technically WW2 started in 1937 when Japan invaded China and that 1939 is a very western view on the war, so we debated it, as a group I might add, with me being the most vocal. A week or so later the prof hauled me before the dean saying id been very aggressive and had brought his ability to teach into question.

According to the university, its not a students place to question lecturers and discuss events......so I was thrown out. Complete bullshit if you ask me, I just feel that the guy was power mad.
I'm sorry but that simply can't be all there was to it. I believe your story but there must have been something else if you would be willing to disclose...
Nope, thats the extent of it. The guy couldnt take the fact that I brought something up that he couldnt explain away and over exaggerated events to the faculty board. I tried to appeal the decision but aaaaall power to the head of depaaartment

I have a high school diiploma and may be going to college. It'll have to wait until after I get drafted by the army (I live in Israel).

How'd he turf you out? And why exactly? I'm intrigued.

OT: A bunch of fairly average GCSEs, and I'm doing my A levels. Shame I missed a chance to do animal tracking and an open water diving qualification in Cuba.

Bachelors Degree, a lot of good its doing me. I thought when you get a degree its suppose to bump up your pay rate significantly. Instead I make slightly more than a McDonalds Manager.

Posted the saga somewhere near the start of the thread, it sounds pretty ludicrous but its a kind of ludicrous that wasted 2 years of my life.

I opted not to complete college, since I didn't think putting myself into debt in this economy was a good idea. Especially since most of my friends are coming home from college with a nice shiny degree that is getting them absolutely bupkis in this job market.

Instead I decided to go to vocational school which is far cheaper, and I've already got a job lined up for when I graduate. I'll probably go back for my bachelors eventually, I just can't see the benefit right now.

In highschool (should've been in college by now, but I quit highschool a few years back and then after a long long long break I decided to go back).
Anyways, I do plan on going to college after graduating, atleast I hope I can, though a couple of really stupid things(none of which are my fault, I might add) might prevent me from doing so.
The mandatory military service bullshit for one... 'cause that means I'll have to speed up my plans of moving to a different country(I plan on moving either way, but sooner if they want to drag me in... I have zero intention of going to the army bullshit, and yes, it is still mandatory here for some arbitrary reason) and basically skipping college... though who knows perhaps I can go to college in the different country, but I'm not counting on it.

I have an undergraduate masters and am reading for a doctorate. Don't really have any clear plans for what I'm going to do after that though...

Done with school, got a job, life became awesome.

I realy hated school, so I didn't get my master's degree even though I probably could. Got a nice job in the geology department of the scientiffic society, so I am where I wanted to be anyway.

EDIT: but now I realise, if I got that defree, I can call myself the Master and that would be boss.

Other. I screwed up my GCSE's, Got a Merit in Intermediate Business Studies, Got a Distinction in BTEC First Diploma, Got a Distinction, Distinction, Merit in BTEC National, Got a B in my Foundation Degree for IT and Multimedia.

I'm currently TRYING to do a top-up course so my Fd becomes a BSc in Computer Science. All I know is, I've passed two units so far.

First in my family to go to University \o/

*cough* Not that it's hard these days >_>

Screw doing any more though, been fucked over WAY too many times. Sick and tired of it.

High School senior. Going for a 4-year college, planning to finish it in about 3 with summer classes.

I'm so done with school, but that degree will help me. Getting this out of the way as quickly as possible.
