I got a comment from Leigh Alexander of SexyVideoGameLand blog which said that my blog wasn't irrelevant.
Four of my entries to Screen Play Blog at the Sydney Morning Herald's Your Turn competition were published on the site's Screen Play Blog, one of which was the winner of the PS3 being given away. How did I win it? I did an article on my attending the Game On exhibition at the State Library of Queensland (an interactive exhibition of the history of video gaming) which I based part of the style on the Nixon Obituary by Hunter S. Thompson. Then I wrote part of the article on my Windows 2000 operating system laptop, and another part which took me two days locked in my room typing it and editing IN A WORD DOCUMENT before I submitted it by email. The article was called "(Not Exactly) Fear and Loathing in Brisbane".

I talked to John Safran, of ABC and SBS Television fame, about Osamu Tezuka's Buddha on his radio show (Sunday Night Safran, which is about Religion and Politics). I then sent the podcast to my blogger buddies. They approved and thought I did Tezuka justice. To arrange this, I had to link Safran's site on my blog criticising the show because he spent too many episodes talking to conspiracy theorists and hadn't mentioned Tezuka's Buddha or anything to do with Buddhism for a while. After John Safran's producer got hold of my nerdly rage post he gave me his phone number to organise a spot for me on the show, since I was the only Tezuka expert they had access to.
