Just trying to get a feel for how people are around here when it comes to posting. I have my theory as to how people post, but I'd like to see what the community has to say.

I personally only read the first and last pages.

I will usually read the first page, but sometimes I will check the other pages. I will read every page if the topic is something that I find really interesting.

Depends on the type of thread. If it is a discussion of some topic, I read all of it. If it is "what is your favorite wackadoodle" then usually just the first couple and the last few.

I only post in threads of low reply. I hate repeating what other people have said and i don't want to read 5 pages of replies first.

If it's like a nine page thread I will read the first two or three and then the last to see how the conversation migrated/ to gauge my point's relevance since it usually gets sidetracked by the mid point. That is unless it's really engaging in which case I'll read all of it. But if it is three and under than I'm all for reading the whole thing.

I read until the OP says something stupid. Then I read 1 or 2 sentences after that, and if they don't do anything to redeem that stupid comment, I'll just stop reading.

Unless the topic is really interesting, I don't read too many of the comments.

I read the title, OP, and usually the first page(or more if it is a larger thread and an interesting topic).

Hmmm... Depends completely on what sort of thread it is. If it's the generic "whats your X Y", then I read only a few posts. But if it is an actual discussion that I find interesting, I often read all of it (unless there's crazy many pages).

I read the all if there are only 3 or 4 pages but otherwise I read the first 2 pages and the last page

Original post, maybe a few after it, maybe even the first page, but that's it. Here, I read the OP and the first reply.

Well, I only post in threads with less than 15 replies. This increases my conversation points by 13 and upgrades my Attention Meter to Level 3. It also prevents repeating ninja'd statements.

I generally read the post, but if someone has a clearly misleading title I will answer it as I see fit.

It's one of those pet peeves of mine.

Edit: I find it funny that I didn't even read what wrote at first.

Generally I try to read as little as possible of what others have said, and as much as possible, as little of the OP as I can.

Take this post, for example - I have no idea what this thread is even about!

Depends on the topic.

If it's something like this that is a purely personal act then the OP, title and maybe a reply or two.

If it's something where discussion or debate about opinion takes place then, depending on how interested I am, it could be anything from the first two or three pages to all twenty.

Well, MY zombie plan is to take over a high building, detonating the stairs and disabling the elevators. Now, for food-

(Nah, only kidding. I usually read quite a bit...if anyone has anything to SAY.)

I usually only read the first and last page, but it really depends on the topic. If I'm interested, I'll read more.

I read the first post, then place my comment on the topic, then I go back and look at other peoples comments to see if I'm far off the mark!
