Pfft, Id say go bankrupt. Its not selfish to want to live. And you wonder why games always have either just really good or really bad. This is either a really noble, or not really noble situation, not a good or bad one. Besides, you only get one life, but you can have any amount of money.

Fuck yes I'd do it. I'd sacrifice the economy of the entire world to save myself. Sure, I'd be living in an apocalyptic wasteland, but I'd still be living.

None of those. I live in Canada. Any life threatening injuries/illnesses to me or my loved ones is free.

In the event that i actually have to pay for my care card i would have to make more then enough money that it likely wouldn't put me into debt. That and i would have to not pay for three or four months before they cut my service, along with three or four phone calls.
what he said, I too live in Canada, we only gotta pay for our dental stuff (bastards took away our dental coverage years back) and non-essential stuff... so hell if i was in that situation i'd say "hook me up, i wanna live!" cuz it'd be free...

If my family's net worth was upward of one hundred million dollars, then how on Earth could I fall behind on my medical insurance payments?

Plus, I would never go to a hospital that would charge such an extortionate amount of money for treatment and then ransom my life if their demands aren't met.

However, if I had a disease or injury that did cost at least $100000000 to treat, then I would charge the medical community for access to me, since I would be a modern day wonder of science and medicine.

Also, undoubtedly the bulk of that treatment cost would be research, which would be as valuable to the people researching my disease as it would cost to treat, so I doubt I'd actually have to pay much money at all.

Living in the UK this whole idea seems insane to me, free healthcare for the win.

Although I wouldn't want anyone to sacrifice everything to save me, I wouldn't want to die and therefore would probably end up being selfish asking my family to pay for me to live and ultimately live a life of regret and guilt.

It's a hard decision, go out and spare the family, or go out and take them down (the more tempting one). My morals tell me to spare them so I'll choose that one

Erm, where I live, that stuff doesn't cost anything. I get to live, and no one pays for it.

If it were to cost an arm, a leg, a house, and my first born... fuck it. Pull the plug. I can't say I've necessarily lived a full life, but we've all gotta go sometime, and not everyone gets the luxury of being able to say when.

I feel that anything is better than death.
If you're dead, you're dead.
If you're not, well then you have alive and can do something! Even if you are broke.

The trouble is that it's not your money, so the family will be eating bread crusts and sleeping in a box for a while.

Yeah. We may get expensive games, but at least we don't have to choose between games or visiting the hospital lol.

Either the family is loving and good, the kind youd want to sacrifice your life for, or they are not. So either they would not mind since they love you like a good family should, or they dont give a crap anyways, why should you?

Forcing your entire family into bankruptcy to save yourself would be selfish and cowardly.

I'd go out and cook meth instead.
Awesome Breaking Bad reference, OT No.

Because I care about their well-being, and saving my own life is not worth potentially ruining all of theirs. Them not minding doesn't factor in.
