Poll: How often do you buy games?

Games are expensive so I don't get to buy them very often, but when I do buy them it's normally around xmas time. Since that's when the companies launch them all. Like this month I've bought 2 games.

But when I do have the extra cash I normally head to Barnes and Noble to blow all my money on books.

I was looking around steam to see if i could get anything but then i found assassin's creed for $5.00 then i remembered i'm broke.

I hardly ever buy games anymore, I usually rent, and if I really like it I might buy it later on. I only buy something if it is something I really want, and I am confident that it will be good. The same goes with pre-orders.

I'm rather inconsistent.

I get times when I can't be bothered with games so I don't bother buying any, or I decide to go on a binge of playing my old PS2/1 and Gamecube games I neglected to complete (still haven't beat Final Fantasy X or any of the Zelda games yet... ashamed... >.<), but when I have money and there's a bunch of new games that look awesome, or that have been out a year and have become really cheap, I get a few in and get through them in a matter of months.

Spent £150 on games last month... so worth it.

I don't buy games on a regular basis, only when (a)I have money and (b)a game I want is out. Even then, I usually read reviews to see if I should buy it now or wait for the price to drop. The last game I bought was CoD: Waw. This year, I'm going to make up for lost time by buying MW2 and Assassin's Creed 2, and possibly Assassin's Creed 1, Mirror's Edge, [Prototype], Red Faction: Guerilla and Halo Wars.

I usually buy games every two months, but only if there is something that I am interested in getting and if they are cheap.

Well, I've bought one game this year, and will probably buy two or three more. I typically buy four a year or less... Weak, I know. But they're only ever the best games. ;p

I seem to average one a month.

Can be inconsistent depending whats out and what my tastes are.

For example this month I have Borderlands, NFS Shift, Halo ODST and Uncharted 2. I havent bought anything since Red Faction came out a few months ago..

Semi-annually, I like to make my games stretch to get my money's worth or sometimes I'll go back to my older games for entertainment(I just started a new assassin's creed).

i used to buy cheap used PS2 games about every week if i found a good one and occasionally a new one

Nowadays with new games costing $70+ and having no luck on old games don't buy games often maybe once a month

I usually pick up one about every 1 or 2 weeks but they are usually used games that are cheap.

I don't live in a town with any interesting computer or video game stores and don't own a car so once a month either I ask any family member if he/she can drive me to town to check out on games or use the oppertunity when they need to go to town. So roughly once a month

I'm inconsistent, but when I do manage to scrap some money together I buy used games from Amazon.

Just depends. Like I just bought a ps3 so I bought 4 games with it. Money really isn't a factor anymore, its just time and finishing a game before I buy a new one(which I do a lot). Inconsistent for sure, but I probably buy a anywhere from 1-4 a month(I love waiting and picking up games on the cheap).
