My shower isn't very enjoyable, so if given the option I wouldn't shower for like 2 weeks at a time. Unfortunately, I have to go out in public so for other people's comfort I shower everyday.

Every other day is what I LIKE to do, but societal obligations dictate I do it every single one.

Hi there guys, I recently just got out of the shower, and I thought up a good question (not really just something I am curious about). How often do you like to take a shower? Do you find that everyday is a bit excessive, or do you think that that is really the only way to keep clean?

Note: Notice that I phrased the question "do you LIKE" meaning that it doesn't exactly have to be approximate. I know myself, I like to take a shower everyday however, sometimes it just doesn't happen >:/. What do you think?

Also, if you put other I would like to know why so. Thanks
I used to shower twice a day.

Often times you'll find that showering is just one of those daily rituals you use to separate waking up or going to sleep in a day.

I must shower, or either me or my girlfriend will slowly descend into insanity.

Every day. Twice to be exact.
I can't sleep if I don't bathe, and I feel filthy the entire day if I don't bathe in the morning.

I prefer daily, since for some reason my hair gets greasy overnight, but I can go several days without showering. I'm sure I've done a week or so before.
If you wash your hair everyday, that is why your hair goes greasy, when we wash our hair we eradicate natural oils, this makes our hair greasy, by all means shower everyday but if you wash your hair every other day you'll find your hair will be a lot healthier. I used to have this problem as well.

Edit: sorry if Somebody already told you that.

Well I shower every morning immediately after waking up. I get up extra early just to compensate for having to take a shower. I sweat in my sleep. And I don't mean regular sweat. I wake up Drenched! It's horrible. Not to mention that if I toss and turn in my sleep my hair gets all messed up and I wake up with one side sticking straight up and the other side just looking gross.

For those of you who were saying that shampooing your hair everyday is bad, you are correct. Shampoo gets rid of natural oils in your hair and on your scalp. However, once you start using shampoo you kind of become dependent on it. If you stop using it, your scalp and hair overproduce those oils that have been stripped away everyday or so for however many years you have been using shampoo. If you go a month without using shampoo you can get this balance back. A lot of people have done this because that lets them save money that they would otherwise spend on shampoo and they feel better because shampoo can have negative effects on the environment.

Sorry for the long winded message.

Edit: I am currently dependent on shampoo and I don't see that changing in the future. The feeling of my hair not being washed would drive me crazy.

Dammit, I knew there had to be some correlation between the two. Thanks for that.

Shower at least once a day. Hate using a bathtub, seems unsanitary to me. Wash hair when needed.

Also - I bloody hate stinky bastards. Seriously, grow up and realise that you need to wash.

You're welcome. It will take a little while to have any real affect though so don't lose heart. Changing to non aromatic soap might help the process along. :)

I want to water every other day. I am not an especially smelly person and I do few times things that have me smelling horrible. My work requires me to wash the hands a lot and that help and change shirts generally before bed.

I never take baths, in its greater part because would remove more well the filth, before that sits down in it, although know that the soap should absorb most of it. I have just had an irrational feeling about the entire thing, that is all.

Every day. Twice a day in the Summer.

Not really because I work up such a sweat (a normal day for me consists of 8 hours sitting behind a screen), but because I love showers.

every other day to be honest. every day is nothing but fruitless since i don't workout and i do not accumulate any smell on my besides my own. however, after the second day i feel a bit gooing on the inside. i change my cloths daily in only to justify having so many shirts, and i keep axe and deodorant onhand so i never really smell at all. I say thing because i give lots of hugs and several girls always love my smell.
(and by the way, a good way to keep your smell levels far down is to keep your self away from yourself ;D)
and as far as relaxing, it's a lot more relaxing for my to run full pelt down my street then to take a shower. i guess it's because i don't like my house more then anything, but exercise, running in particular, has always been a relaxing and fun agent for me.
