Also, what do you read? Personally I read a book a week and read anything from historical books to sci-fi to horror. This week I've been reading an oral history on Pixies (the band, not the creature) and Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz.

I read a lot unless sleep takes presedence(No spellcheck so that very well be mispelled.) I usually read sci-fi or fantasy, my favorite being the Black Company series.

Currently I'm reading the Necronomicon, most of the greatest tales by H.P. Lovecraft. 'Tis a wonderful read.

Right now, Im in the middle of reading Deep Six by Clive Cussler. Gotta love good old fashioned deep sea adventures. But I like reading just about everything, from Arthur Boyle to Stephen King :) (And I love reading video game novels, since we are on the Escapist).

Mostly I read fantasy (Anything by Terry Pratchett) or mystery novels, and the occasional book about a science, like Stephen Hawking or Kurzweil.

Things like history or nonfiction or fiction set on earth tends to bore me pretty fast.

edit: Just finished reading Name of the Wind. Not REALLY good like Penny Arcade made it out to be, but there's a lot of potential I think for the series.

Read? Bah! I write!

But seriously, I normally finish a book once a week, with periods streching over two months waiting for the next releases. My next one's going to be Rides a Dread Legion.

Yeah, I know it's released yet, but I has none of them monehz yets.

Roughly once a wekk, but only by the fact taht I don't have enough free time in a week to read more.

Currently I'm working on the Player Of Games by Iain Banks. Nice sci-fi, if extremely softly so. Lots of handwavium around, but that doesn't hurt because it's not the tech that is the central tenent, it's the moral, philosophical and ethical consequences.

I'm a big Lovecraft fan myself, I love how his language has a very mysterious and antiquated feel, much older than the 1920s-30s when the stories were written.

For someone who's main asset in school was reading/writing, I read novels surprisingly rarely. However, I do read news articles on the internet, wikipedia articles, and of course forum posts, I've learned a surprising amount of words from playing games (exile, stalwart, dichotomy, lethargy, nostalgic, ambidextrous, zeal, the list goes on).

The last novel I read was The Sword of Attila by Michael Curtis Ford. A damn good story on historical fiction, with plenty of well-developed characters.

I read every night before bed.

Right now I've been tackling a book on the origins of terrorism for about a good 6 months. Its strictly non fiction, so I don't read a lot all at once. And I go back and make marks and reread things so I can memorize them. Its been a worthwhile experience.

Recently I have begun reading after a bit of a hiatus most likely due to college stuff. When i do read, i tend to zoom through the books.

Currently, I'm restarting the Malazan series because i lost track of the 100+ characters in the books so I thought I'd put my thoughts back in order before i start on book 8. Best book series ever IMO, but i have not yet read GRRM's stuff.

Don't worry, it's on the list.

Indeed. He's the first writer who has truly brought me inside the stories. I've actually felt some fear from his greater tales.

I usually go through a book every couple of weeks. I enjoy fiction of most any kind. In fact, just finished reading Brian Jacques' The Sable Quean Friday, ready to get started on something else soon.

I try to finish a book once a week, even though sometimes I get side tracked, I always finish the book.

More than once a week, partly because I'm doing an English Lit A level, which requires a load of wider reading, partly because I actually enjoy reading. I tend to read a book about once a day.

Excluding school books, maybe once every few months. There are several books I'd like to read, but most are really hard to read and demands great focus. The ones I do want to read are the Neil Gaiman books, The Wheel of Time series, and The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy. I have all the books, but they're all so heavy to read, especially The Wheel of Time.

I also want to read some Ayn Rand, but that's even harder. The books by her I want to read are Capitalism: The Lost Philosophy, and Objectivist Epystomology.

Also, I'm thinking about checking out the Tom Clancy books. People tell me that Rainbow Six and The Hunt For Red October are good. And the games have interesting stories enough.
