I'm disgusted to be bracketed with the 19 year olds.

P.S. Your age brackets aren't very good for viewing the distribution. 3 year, 4 year, 6 year, 10 year, and 15 year brackets lend themselves to assumptions being made, before you even get your results.

I'm 14 but I know a whole clan where you have to be over 35 years old to get in.

lol well of course they do drink..who didn't underage drink. What I was saying was that if it was legal for them to start drinking at a younger age perhaps it wouldn't be such a big deal to even start with. It's like when someone tells you not to press the red button....you always press the red button. hehe
Right, my mistake. I seem to have misread that. That said, though, I'm not so sure lowering the limit to 18, or 16, would really have an effect. Then we'd have middle schoolers wanting to act cool like the "big kids" do. That, and the "press the button" notion, like you said. I think it'll always be a problem, unless we set the age limit so low the children can't even comprehend the notion. Which would be sorta silly.

I'm more in the Cleveland area so it would be so much faster to take a boat across than go allll the way up and around to Canada. Don't own a boat..nor really like them. hehe
What, not a fan of 5 hour long drives? But driving gets so FUN when it's 1am and you've been on the road for 10 hours or so..straight...and everyone else in the car is asleep...

On topic, I agree that I'm surprised so many people are in the teen bracket as well. I figured most people were in their twenties.

Where's werepossum? I need someone to come stand next to me in the 36+ bracket so I don't feel so alone.
Here I am! Barely squeaking in under 50 (47), but hey, I'm in.

Glad to be in good company.

I think they are fine. A person has a much more radical development in his teens than in his later years so it is more important to distinguish between 11 and 15 than 25 and 29.

lol perhaps. I do like long drives but not particularly road trips. as it happens to turn out my friends can never sit still for very long. they all need Ritalin I swear. I love night driving more than anything else.

And as to the surprising age results I think your all failing to remember that most are just about to the next bracket, not many fall on the lower half of that one. The ones that do are acting as any normal younger teen does. They reflect the world around them at this age. Since they are in a more mature environment they are forced to act that way. If they didn't they wouldn't be accepted and have their voices heard. If your going to hang out with older people you have to act their age to really be given the chance to earn respect. These are the smart kids who get it. Good job! *hands out cookies for all* hehe cookies.

That and all the ones who aren't mature enough are getting banned all the time.

Actually, these are fairly standard demographic groupings, commonly used by insurance companies and the advertising and marketing industry.

16, but I've long felt that my chronological and mental ages don't match up. (I acted like a teenager when I was a preteen, and now that I am a teenager I act like a twentysomething.)

Well, I am 20, but also a girl. I expect this puts me firmly in the minority, but I also accept that I may be mistaken and that my post is about to be jumped on by legions of outraged female players.
Sounds like a dream I once had.

That doesn't negate the truth in my comment that the brackets don't lend themselves to viewing an unobscured distribution. Plus, the question was not "What demographic are you in?" but instead, "How old are you?". Maybe the former is more relevant, or maybe it was the intended question, but that's not the question that was asked.

and its small surprise this community is so mature, none of the under 15's mind you im just out of that bracket myself. But i count myself as generally more mature than most people of my age, god i hope that sounded less pompous than it did in my head...
Don't worry you're fine. I know a 15 year old who acts like he's 30. *rolleyes*

Anywho, on topic I am 17 years and 69 days old.

15-18 looks like I am in the majority.
And this site has always seemed kinda peaceful before I signed up. (Thats kinda why I did)
There's no huge flamewars or anything like that.

Oh also, 15 now and 16 in October.
