When you were too young to watch game trailers legitimately and you had to enter a fake age?

Personally, I used to set it to the 31st of February because the computer didn't realize that it wasn't a real date.

Mine usually get set to the 1st January 1969, since that's the year two mouse-wheel scrolls down takes me.

I have tried to date myself as being born in the 19th century before though, but it didn't work.

Randomly scrolled, and around 18th century was usually where I landed when I chose year I was born. Still don't use my real birth date since it takes longer to enter then that above.

I normally set the date to the oldest I could possibly get it, so it was anywhere from 1940 to 1900, so I was usually somewhere between 70 and 110 years old.

I'm not allowed to enter my real age even if I wanted to. The internet is massively ageist. I am 111 years of age, yet I can hardly ever find sites that allow me to scroll to 1900.

In my day we didn't HAVE previews on some fancy Internetz...we had a kiosk down at Sears, or occasionally Montgomery Wards that showed whatever the new Atari VCS (Video Computer System...wasn't even called the 2600 yet!) game they were promoting...We were awed, Awed I say! Pitfall Harry's legs MOVED! It was a miracle I tells ya!

Eventually we got our previews in magazines, and they weren't the ones we needed IDs for...

By the time Internet previews became the norm I had long been an adult

Huh? Wait, none of you guys really do that still? Damn. Well I'm only 15, 16 coming up on the 30th, and I always just type in fake birthdates for whatever site I'm viewing, which is usually a site for an M Rated game I play.

Yes, I'm 15 and play M Rated games, but at least I'm years more mature than at most of my peers, and not nearly as illiterate as they are...

Now for something really sad.

They didn't have internet when I was a kid so by the time it became "common" and game trailers were going I was 18 or 19 (and dial up was a *****).

As such, never had to make myself any older online.
