I used my actual birthday, that being the 28th of April but gave the year 1986, simply because that was the same fake age I gave to start my PSN account.

Oh, this makes me feel old. I was old enough to watch anything like that a couple of years before the web was invented, so I've never had to make up an age. I remember trying to get pages to work properly in Mosaic, on a computer that had a whopping 1Mb of RAM.

EDIT: Oh, and get off my lawn, you damn kids!

Um, never. I mean, I routinely enter fake dates because I can't be bothered, but I've never actually needed to.

When I was young enough for it to matter, the internet couldn't handle video.

(And the age verification back then didn't get much beyond "By clicking this, you acknowledge that you are over 18 years old.")

Then again, I'm old enough to remember the internet not existing at all. >_>

Oh, and using Bulletin board services... Those were... Interesting... XD

I NEVER took those seriously; I just type in what's fastest. Sometimes I'm 18, sometimes I'm 63, it all depends on where my mouse lands. :)

I just scroll down to some point before 1990. It's easier than actually entering my birthday, anyway, and I am incredibly lazy.

When you were too young to watch game trailers legitimately and you had to enter a fake age?

Personally, I used to set it to the 31st of February because the computer didn't realize that it wasn't a real date.
I think I was always legal, but I'm kinda old these days. I do January 1st, because that's usually what's already there. I never put in my real age/birth year -- I mean, WHY? Just let me IN dammit! I'm nearly a decade legal. I'm sick of these stupid "anyone can beat this system" blocking me.

I mean, seriously, who puts in their REAL age when they're not 18 and then it says "No entry" only to NOT hit back, input a new year to gain entry? Do you know how often those things block you from things that aren't bad to see? Except for porn (which doesn't have age verification as far as I know) I NEVER see anything I'd stop my own children from seeing (if I had any).

I would put my real birthday (04/08) and set the year so that it would think I was exactly 18. Or if I was lazy I would just put the earliest year it lets me put in.

Usually I just put in January 1st, 1986 or generally somewhere in that decade. I did once put in 1902 and it still let me watch like theres really that many 100+ people interested in video game trailers.

Also I would put in my real birthday, but its really just easier using January 1st plus a year that makes it older than 18. Its not like they're going to send agents to your house to make sure thats your real birthday I'm sure they have more important things to do.

I always used my normal birthdate, February 14, but set year to 1985 instead of 1995. '85 because that's the year "modern" gaming was born with the NES.
