Nice way to come back from a six-month break. Now I can learn everything about the Escapist's woes in one nice convenient thread.

The poll clearly follows the basic normal distribution often found in statistics, further supporting these findings here.

However I do feel I must disagree in part with your eventual conclusion.

Studying the ebb and flow in Escapist topics here I think it's pretty obvious that it is in fact the friendzone which causes gun control which eventually leads to, as you accurately pointed out, sexism.

Guns are not the issue people! Guns never did nothing to nobody (I'm not entirely sure what that means after three negations but I'm certain it's true). The issue lies much deeper!

Don't be fooled by easy and convenient explanations sheeple! Dig deeper! Find the truth!
I'm going to tell you this just once.

The friend-zone does not exist.

And even if it were to exist a secret branch of the US government would certainly not be keeping it buried in an underground bunker nestled somewhere in the Nevada badlands. And you certainly would have nothing to fear if it were developing the technology into a fearsome doomsday device of world shattering potency.

So what I'm saying is..

The friend-zone does not exist.

Or else.

I was kinda thinking about making a thread about sexism men face (because it's an issue people only tend to care about to counter feminist's arguments) I've seen the thread with the topic before, but it's generally been more whining about how if something bad happens to a man it's sexist, rather than any actual discussion on how sexism affects both men and women.

I searched for the forum for threads on that topic to see if there had been discussion, but all the comments about how men are oppressed and how rape is not bad if it's woman on man I just got depressed...
Tell me about it. The most depressing thing is that they don't even care that it happens beyond using these issues to bash feminism. I take men's rights issues seriously (and I mean men's rights not Men's Rights) like the fact that violence against men is so readily dismissed, that boys today are doing increasingly poorly in school compared to girls, that rates of depression in men are so high and so on... yet no one wants to discuss the cause or the solution. They just repeatedly tell me that I supposedly don't care about men because I believe in women's liberation. Indeed, that I'm happy for things to be the way they are because apparently we "only want equality when it suits us".

Although honestly if a man and a woman were both drowning... I'd save my dog.
