I have normal immune system but frankly I don't think that I recover from injuries normally. This spring I slipped on a patch of ice and landed with my ass on my foot so the lower part of my leg snapped. Thing is after a 5-6 weeks I stopped using crutches, nothing unusual then I tried to take a walk and see just how far I could go and I ended up walking 16 km (10 miles). It probably had something to do with me being VERY stubborn at times but still.

I've got an awesome immune system. I caught the dreaded Swine Flu a month or so ago, and was over it within two days (first symptoms Friday evening, better by Sunday afternoon)

EDIT: So, where's the "I laugh in the face of pathogens" option?

I have a head cold several times a year, but that's like my nemesis disease. I always claim to have an "unconquerable organism" i.e. I believe that no disease in the world can do me serious harm. I wouldn't tempt my fate though.

Two choices? Really?

Here's the thing; the late George Carlin preformed a skit where he talked about how everything today is soooo antiseptic. Antibacterial soaps, antibiotics, alcohol rubs, etc etc! We're so clean in killing all the germs that we're letting our bodies get weak to illnesses. The immune system needs some exposure to keep strong, up to date, etc. :) That was his skit. Something about swimming the Hudson River (basicly raw sewage) when he was young too.

I don't totally agree, but he does have a point. :) I'm clean, but not so clean that I eliminate every germ in a 10 mile radius. Before I started school, I worked out a ton too. My immune system was hell on wheels while I was working out. I eat right, (until recently) worked out, and I fear not light exposure. I have a strong immune system. :)

I was surrounded by flu (H1N1 perhaps?) carriers at one time a week and a half ago. I survived just fine. :)

My whole family got swine flu except for me which is a very good sign. I do get sick every 2-3 years with very serious bugs though. usually during the winter. They aren't nice but they will only last a few days. I wish their was a scientific way to actually measure your Immune system other than "how many times do you get sick?"

To be fair, when I do get sick, holy shit does it knock me down.

Oh George, how we all miss you.

Best thing to do when you sick is just to ignore it. I have to go to university so I just tell my body to stfu. But I do get headache's a lot but I guess that's from the stress. Otherwise I'm fine XD

I haven't been sick in like 5 years.
Pretty much this. Even when its flu season and everyone has gotten saick, I will still be nice and healthy.

Back when I was a lot younger and used to get sick, it would only be for a day.

What is this sickness you speak of... I get sick about once every 3 years, and even then it only lasts from 3 days to a week. My immune system is awesome...

Bah to sickness. The worst that I've had is a mild case of tonsillitis for three days before my immune system beat it down!

Pretty good, I don't think I've had anything more severe than a cold for the past few years. Then again, I get flu vaccines so that has a lot to do with it.

Usually when I get any kind of sickness, it lasts for less than a day. Unless it's a sore throat. Then it usually gets better, than ends up as a runny nose. The sore throat is gone and the cold weakens, but then I get a cough. After a week, I'm completely fine. This only happens once a year, during the winter.

And I often work out when I'm sick, meaning my body has to focus on repairing my muscles in addition to fighting off sickness, slowing down the process.

Actually, the common cold is not a sickness, it's simply the symptoms that you experience while your immune system fights off sickness. Just because you get the common cold doesn't mean you don't have a good immune system, it actually means that your immune system is doing its job. If you were to simply catch a virus and die of the infection, then you would know that your immune system isn't that great.

Just as I had voted, I very rarely get very sick (touch-wood) but when I do, it's like a kick to the teeth. I do get regular colds and other related diseases because I had my tonsels removed however. But the Common Cold is a pansy disease which you can just walk off, so it doesnt count
