Summer is winding down. The sun is rising later and setting earlier each day. The temperature is starting to tick down. School is about to start up for a lot of the forums.

So how much exposure to UV rays have you gotten this year/how do you react to them.

Right now I'm solidly in the "awkwardly white butt" camp. I could wear a white shirt without looking washed out. I've gotten more sun than usual, due to increased exposure and activities that make it hard to keep sunscreen on (rafting, lake fun, kite flying on the beach). My new car means I've had a ride that's reliable for trips down to my grandma's shore house. It's been a good summer for getting out of the house. My tan also isn't very even because of the previously mentioned activities, my arms and shoulders are a lot browner than my stomach.

P.S. No Aussies or Kiwis are allowed to complain about it being winter. Got it? Good.

I'm whiter than most white guys, put it that way... -_- (cf. I'm south-east Asian, but British born/raised, so me being pale isn't all that surprising...)

Anyway, I'm heliophobic, if that helps answer the question.

I don't tan.

I can't, I only burn.
I often blame this on being related to ginger people.

Plus I hate summer (mostly cause of the burning!) and tend to stay inside.
So yeah, I'm either pale as a ghost in winter or red and blotchy in summer if I venture outside.

Most of my time spent outside is in gym shorts, a t-shirt, and running shoes with ankle socks, so there's a good bit of tan marks going on.

My face, neck, and lower arms are somewhat sand coloured, I guess. Due to wearing excusively T-shirts.

Everything else is white meat.

I am a ginger so I don't tan I am very pale. When I go out in the sun I start to burn after a few min. I remember one time someone tried to tell me everyone can tan I couldn't help but laugh.

I'm as tan as bleached chalk. I'm never outside long enough to tan because it takes me a few weeks of constant sunshine in order for me to start to tan. Also I never burn, most people are surprised since I look like I would fry but I never do.

I don't like cancer, therefore I am white.(Not really, more olive, but it's natural.

Irish albino skin fo' life.

I don't think I've ever had a tan. I just get freckles on my nose and go a bit red for a few days.

Pale. Very pale. Like a Khezu.

I spend a lot of time inside when I'm not at work, and because of this everyone assumes that I haven't had enough sunlight this summer because of my ghost-like skin.

It's not that, I just don't tan no matter how much time I spend outside. I could spend days sunbathing, it won't make a difference. A lot of the time I don't even burn properly apart from a few awkward areas.

Well, I guess I've gotta go with no tan marks, but considering I get about as much sun as a deep ground bunker, that's putting it mildly.

I don't tan, I just burn. Heck, was outside for a funeral for only a little bit and my arms and back of my neck are all red and will remain so for a while.

My skin is either white as the driven snow or crimson red. I've never had a tan in my life.

I get migraines in sunlight, so I kinda go with Ornery Boy here.

Though on the rare occasions I am stuck out in the sun, I tan to a light brown. It looks terrible against the whiteness of everything else.

I was already pretty tanned before the summer began (I'm half Chinese; I don't burn!) but I got really dark and got a unisuit tan from rowing. I row competitively and having 9 practices a week outdoors leaves its mark on you.

I've spent the large majority of the summer under the sun. I'm definitely in the burnt sienna range.
