I don't tan.

I can't, I only burn.
I often blame this on being related to ginger people.

Plus I hate summer (mostly cause of the burning!) and tend to stay inside.
So yeah, I'm either pale as a ghost in winter or red and blotchy in summer if I venture outside.
I have this experience and thus avoid the sun like the plague, I'm very pale frankly and I don't care too much.

I think it's slight just a difference of terminology. Where I'm from, if you're part of a group that travels around a lot, you're a landscaper. Gardeners generally work solo for a much more limited number of people.
Ah, its pretty much interchangable here. Landscaper has just become the "trendier" name so pretty much everyone uses it even if it is a full time employee who does nothing but "gardening" for you.
I ain't bothered one way or another. Both title sound good in my head.

I tan easily and I've just come back (today) from a month in Ecuador. So yeah, pretty tanned. I'm caucasian but I compared with my Iranian friend and we had pretty much the same skin tone.

I'm pretty much white as bread.

I live in Florida so the summer heat gets excruciating, so most of the time, unless I'm doing yard work or going on a walk, I just stay inside.

I am a simple person who wears jeans and t-shirts most days because they last and they are hardy for the outside work I do most of the time, so I have the lovely 'farmer's tan' from the desert sun. Except because of my heritage I already have a natural tan so I can actually get pretty dark if I don't watch it, so the farmer's tan is always pretty obvious if I end up at a swimming pool or something (which I hardly ever do).

My husband is of Irish descent, so, he's...white and burns right away.

While it is winter here it's still tanning suitable weather on the coast. I myself don't tan as i burn, blister and peel without tanning, it's nigh impossible for me to tan, and i'd rather not do it anyway, hurts too much.

Not that tanned, it's rained quite a fucking lot - or else just not been that sunny. I'd say I'm lightly browned.

I'm still carrying the remnants of my tan from my holiday in New Zealand in January. Add to that a little bit of tan from the past sunny weeks, and any actual lines have faded a bit. Clearly tanned, no clear tan lines.
