These guys show that planning helps and having a lot of glass might look cool but will screw you over in the end.:

I have a question for you escapists:

Should the media have shown you the CCTV footage as now many people now have a great idea for robbing an apple store? or any store with lots of glass?

does it take a brain surgeon?
stolen car, no license plates, masks, ram raid the heck out of that store, steal whatevers not broken/bolted down, get out of there, hop into a getaway car. Break down the things into components, sell out of country/state. Burn/sell the old car. Job done and your a bit richer.

Only 31 Macbook Pros?
Pfft, Amateurs..
I kid, I kid.

I find it funny as he says: "Watch as the thieves show skilled practice!"
They... threw something through a window? Woohoo, they must be masters of breaking and entering, for sure.
Edit: Please stop quoting me about the plate glass. I know it is not to easy to break. If you want my response, feel free to look around the pages. It will be roughly the same thing.

And OP: I'm sure people would have broken in, regardless of the footage that was shown. It's a nice store.

What the fuck?! It is wrong but those guys are skilled. The American news is so fucking stupid. The 'action cam' commentator sounded like he was commentating on a sports game?! Seriously they need to wise up and get professional, like the robbers :p

Hell yeah, I'd break in just to get decoration tips for my own house, how does Apple get those clean white lines.

I've heard of more idiotic places to rob, i.e. A Subway.
Ironically those robbers were shot by an old man who turned out to be an ex-marine.
America impresses me sometimes.

It wasn't a complex plan - but to co-ordinate it takes planning, plus they were all precise about it. You make it sound easy, they just made it look easy

besides everyone knows real skilled thieves would have put the cameras on a loop, entered throught the ventilation shafts, used a tranq gun on the security guard, and then calmly walked out the store with all the gear.
simples.

haha, true, but there really isn't any need for precise planning in Car + Speed + Glass = easy entry.
why be subtle when you can put a car through it?

If you put a car through it you would have the awesome label of 30 seconds, cars take too long to move off, plus they would have to get our of the doors.

Pfff, this is nothing. Skilled burglars my ass, they just broke the window, took a lot of crap and ran. Subtlety and stealth impress me, this does not.

That's exactly what I mean, that's the gentlemen's way of robbing.

use a van and just leave the back open, jump out, steal, get picked up round the block with your get away vehicle and just leave the car. Burning optional.
I reckon for sheer audacity it deserves bonus points. unimaginative yes, yet fairly fool proof.

Agreed as with all things complexity allows for more chance for soemthing to go wrong.

Seeing as how apple is really good at making things that don't work, I'd rather rob a mac store or an eb games or something.
