Wow, thats pretty cool, but they shouldn't have shown it
But then again it would never work in the nearest apple store to me, everything is strapped down and there is only one entrance

If you need to be shown a video on how to break into a store with GLASS DOORS, then... just stop, you're just going to hurt yourself and break innocent glass.

Besides, a truly skilled thief would have made this an inside job.
A truly skilled thief woulda gone into sneak mode while the store was still open, pickpocketed the guard's keys (Which he wouldn't notice were ever missing cuz he can lock the doors without them), waited till 1-2 AM, then just walked in and taken everything (He may need to equip some feather boots or something along the way to carry all that weight, I figure each of these must weigh at least 5-10 units, so all 30 or so would be 150-300 units. Unless you recently hit your third day of Vampdom, that's a lot of weight to suddenly acquire. Gray Fox's Cowl could help here, though, seeing as how it could support the entire weight no problem. You'd just have to worry about your bounty...
Yeah, but with the limited genetic pool these days, i bet you are actually robbing yourself, or atleast someone who looks and sounds like you, sometimes caught conversing with yourself about the wonderful shop owned by yourself.

Only 31 Macbook Pros?
Pfft, Amateurs..
I kid, I kid.

I find it funny as he says: "Watch as the thieves show skilled practice!"
They... threw something through a window? Woohoo, they must be masters of breaking and entering, for sure.

And OP: I'm sure people would have broken in, regardless of the footage that was shown. It's a nice store.
It was plate glass. I'm pretty sure that stuff is a ***** to break. And, if they broke it in one hit, cleared store in 31 seconds, and were gone a few minutes before the guard got back, that's pretty good skills. I wouldn't mind being part of their crew.
Like I said earlier: I know.
Sure, it was plate glass. But it's not like the shit requires a Master's Degree to break.
Sure, they were good. But I think giving them credit for "Being savvy enough to wear masks" is a bit too much. That's practically common sense.

Eh, I agree on the masks. And, true with the Master's Degree (Unless we make this a class...phone up Harvard!), but it would take a while to plan were the cameras were, when the guard went off his shift, etc. etc.
Yeah, you're right.
This definitely took planning.

Is that sarcasm? xD
I just woke up, my sar-dar isn't working properly yet...
No, it wasn't :D
It was far from a perfect job, yet far from an amateur one.

I wouldn't want to steal anything apple, as some of you might be aware me and them have a problem, i might just break in to torch the place, so thanks for the video on how to get in, now if only there was an Apple store in my state...

EDIt: Also, since it is plate glas I wouldn't throw anything at the window, I'd get a car from near by and then ram the glass.. duh.. then I'd leave that car behind and go back to mine,... sounds grand theft auto-ey to me.

What the fuck?! It is wrong but those guys are skilled. The American news is so fucking stupid. The 'action cam' commentator sounded like he was commentating on a sports game?! Seriously they need to wise up and get professional, like the robbers :p
Your judging all of American news from one media outlet in New Jersey? Lol.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aren't these Mac people supposed to be smart? Who the hell has a computer store in New fucking Jersey and only has a single pane, plate glass windows over the store front separating street trash from thousands of dollars of goods? WTF!. We have the technology to make a computer as thin as a sheet of paper but we can't go and get some 1,3/4 inch Plexiglas and run some wire mesh through the middle? Is it REALLY that difficult to secure a store front against a brick?

Besides its obvious that these people have done this before and they probably wont get caught because i doubt the Apple people were smart enough to put a tracking number in them because they sure as hell weren't smart enough to get anything better than a craptastic window to guard this merchandise.

In my book that store deserved it. The criminals should go to jail but that is the worst security window I have ever seen.

FYI start feeding your security guard weapons training not Krispy Kream's.
Actually I've seen multiple shorts of US news 'journalists' trying to tell a serious story, didn't accredit them at all.
To tell you the truth, Ive been to Germany, Switzerland, France and England and the only difference Ive noticed was the language and the accent.

These guys show that planning helps and having a lot of glass might look cool but will screw you over in the end.:

I have a question for you escapists:

Should the media have shown you the CCTV footage as now many people now have a great idea for robbing an apple store? or any store with lots of glass?
2 problems with the idea that the news is "teaching" people how to do this stuff

1) getting 6 people together and robbing a store in the middle of the night, especially one with easy access to merchandise like a computer store doesn't take a criminal mastermind.

2) It's not like people who want to rob a store are sitting, watching tv, hoping for some deus ex machina to show them the way to do it, and make all their dreams come true - they're out there already, planning their own crimes.. or just acting on impulse.

use a van and just leave the back open, jump out, steal, get picked up round the block with your get away vehicle and just leave the car. Burning optional.
I reckon for sheer audacity it deserves bonus points. unimaginative yes, yet fairly fool proof.
Burning not optional. The best way for you do destroy the evidence is to blow up the car, then it seems like the mob attacked.
