Poll: How will the world end?

So with only 10 days to go till the apocalypse, as supposedly foretold by the Mayans (on account of their calendar stopping on the 21st Dec 2012) I wondered what everyone's first choice of world-ending catastrophe would be.

Additionally, if we suppose that you are one of the (un)lucky survivors, what will your plan be? What would be your weapon of choice for self-defence post-apocalypse, and where do you go to hole up?

Personally, I would go with a bow and arrows and think I'd probably head to a supermarket. The fresh food won't last for long so need to make the most of it.

Today in our local news site there was an arcticle of a "internet disaster". facebook was offline for 30 minutes. they made a big deal out of it (funnily article was "liked" but 3 facebook users).
Coupled with critical miss that i read 2 days ago about apocalyse caused by steam goign off [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/comics/critical-miss/8518-Children-of-Steam-1] i have came to this conclusion.

Internet will crash, humanity will be extinct in a matter of hours. All hail DNS server bugs!

OT: Aliens. Aliens with a warped sense of humour have been monitoring our internets. They have seen how many people believe it to be impossible for the world to end on they day, and have decided it would be hilarious if it did.

Probably Nuclear War, or something just as destructive.

All Life + The Planet:
The Sun expanding and boiling the planet to a crisp. There's going to be life on Earth up until it is utterly uninhabitable, even if it's extremely small animals or even just bacteria.

Humanity will end due to environmental depletion, which in turn will cause famine and warfare. So basically, once we've used up the planet we'll all starve and kill each other over the last few scraps. Although I guess it probably wouldn't end the entire species since we'd stop fighting once our numbers were lowered to the point where the planet could support us again.

The world will end when the sun goes supernova. Or we get unlucky and get hit by a really big meteorite.

The world will eventually end due to the sun expanding if a meteor/comet doesn't hit it first, but that's going to be in a really long time, hopefully when life has been evacuated from the planet.

If for some other reason the world ends and I find myself in some post-apocalyptic crap of a world, then I'll grab the biggest blade I can find and a revolver for when things get dicey. I'll still try to hide them on my person or in luggage though, a smooth tongue really is best. When that doesn't work the captcha has my back: "just use your foot," then probably run.

I was at home today. I'd been off school for nearly a week. Christmas shopping done. There was nothing I needed to do today so I was just going to relax and hang out online, play some games. Than the earth shook and a blinding light whited everything out. I don't remember anything else until I woke up here.
