Do you prefer goofy cartoons like Jak and Daxter and Ratchet and Clank, or serious, straight to the point games like Modern Warfare or Halo? Or do you like unintentionally hilarious epics like Deadly Premonition?

I like games like MGS, where humour is certainly not in charge, but does occasionally pop up. Some of the codec calls in the MGS series are just hilarious. But generally, I do prefer more serious games. Not COD, of course. Think, more like Bioshock, Assassin's Creed, Heavy Rain and Dead Space.

1920 - 1940 is a posh guy ( I think hes also gay)
then its jus a load of anti communist propaganda
then its a hippie
then its some random teenager.

I didn't really think of jak and daxter as a funny game. Rachet and clank only had a few funny moments (at least in the first 4 games, i never bothered to play the others). I loved... LOVED brutal legend though.

Well there is a swearing weasel thing with goggles, and that's pretty funny.

I prefer when its a serious story but still have a laugh. I mean take Halo's grunts quotes for example.

Depends on what I'm in the mood for, but after the slew of overly serious games we've had these past years, I'm definitely interested in some more tongue and cheek.

i don't mind either way but what i don't like is when they decide to put humour into a serious part

TimeSplitters! Oh and I enjoy MGS's humor too. I don't like it too serious.

If you liked Twin Peaks, and are in the mood for bizarre survival horror, go with Deadly Premonition for sure.

I rather enjoy a dark sense of humor in video games. Like Tim Schafer or Kojima's usual work.

Not alot of options. So I went with pants.

I like humor. Thinking man's humor. Not just the garbage we are forced to choke down today. I'm looking at you modern cinema. Remember the good old days of, Airplane, blazing saddles, and the like. Today its all in your face laugh track humor.

I like a game that can throw something in that you weren't expecting. Duke nukem saying, "It had better be good it took 12 #$@! years" Shepard slaming omni gel in new dlc.

Yeah, I saw Spoony's review. Maybe I'll check it out.

And I LOVE Twin Peaks. Well, up to about episode 15 anyway.

Er, Halo isn't really very serious. Even Reach - the darkest game of the series - has alleged funny moments. There's lots of potential for darkness, sure, but things like the IWHBYD and Grunt Birthday Party skulls can make it real funny. At its core, it's always been a rather light-hearted shooter.

Until the flood show up. But nobody likes them anyway.

The comedy in TimeSplitters was the perfect blend, for me at least. Sometimes just stopping to pause the game because I'm laughing = a fun time was had by all.

Fable 2 did this quite a few times as well.
