Dose the U.S have to fight Germany in every major war?

Have to? no, but we might as well get all those years of practice provided by all of the WW2 games to good use in fighting the guys were used to fighting As for the fight between US and China, It would really depend on the cause of the fight, right now the US and China have some pretty lucrative trade agreements right now. We may be competitors in some areas of the market but in others we cooperate and even trade heavily with each other on.

You do know that just about half of those countries are part of NATO, you hit one and then you get 20 others to hit you back. I KNOW France rejoined NATO a few months ago, Germany I'm not sure but it sure ashell wouldnt go against NATO. You do got me on Russia, they'd probably side with China before US. And India probably wouldnt even get involved, they don't really like China too much and i dont think they want war.

Personally I think people give the Chinese military to much credit, compared to it's western counterparts, it is very ill equipped and trained. The Chinese Air Force and Navy are also next to non-factors compared with the US Air Force and Navy. The only real danger is the Economic consequences, and Nuclear War.

OP: America would destroy them.
America has the best navy in the world. It would be an invasion impossible.
We also have one of the best air forces.

Add that, plus smart bombs and laser guided misses, mixed with special forces, we would quickly even the numbers without a proper armory stepping foot on their soil.

Dont think for a second we wouldn't smart bomb the hell out of China's missle silos the second the war started.
The U.S carriers would constantly launch air strikes and bombing runs all over china, for which they would have no answer.

Who invades whom? If we go by the current theme of USA invading countries, I'd say China could hold its own in a defensive war (China is big and full of people). But if the tables were turned and China were to attack America (for what reason?!), the same would happen I guess.
Really, both countries are large and powerful and an utter and complete victory is pretty much impossible.
Nobody would ever win in a war like that.

Well i'm no military analyst but in my studies i have looked at this and according to what ive read the US has 50% of the worlds military expenditure and is capable of defeating all the world's armies combined (i find that hard to believe but i'm just the student) and a war with China would not last long. And people keep on talking about how this country would side worth this one and so on, and i ask myself why would they? What would Russia have to gain from joining with China?

I think you lot might be underestimating China's Military technology wise, or overestimating America's superiority whichever fits.


Also you forgot NK in consideration of China's allies.

It might join, it has the 4th largest army in the world, but they might hold out because of China's involvement in dismantling their nuclear program.

I think overall the Yanks would win, although I have a huge feeling that The Chinese aren't the type to go down by themselves.

Why Germany, France and India? They are relatively friendly to the US. The only allies that make sense are Russia, North Korea, & some Latin American and South East Asian nations.

In a all out smack down between just the two nations, I think it would just be total nuclear devastation. No side would really come out on top...they both will be blown back to the stone age.

But as many have pointed out, China (or Russia for that matter) DON'T want a world war, at least not right now, they are getting rich off of us...running our economy and Russia being one of largest producers/exporters of oil in the world (the Achilles heel of the United States it seems, everything here revolves around oil)

No I believe these country's are happy being irritants actually, blocking economic sanctions in the UN (since the US is basically the UN's *****...) for countries like Iran and North Korea or in the case of Russia, supplying Iran with weapons to counter modern day military aircraft used by Israel (who gets the majority of their weapons from the US). Until the US gets a president and administration with a backbone... China and Russia will sit back and get rich and laugh as we(US citizens) sleep in fear wondering which country with the bomb will attack us first...
