Haven't really been around enough to run into this kinda stuff, and even if I did my inexperience would probably cause me to second-guess the validity of my actions.

So if it's obvious, chances are I'd report and leave/read. If it's a touch more subtle, I'd likely take the morally ambiguous bystander option and leave it to someone with more experience and clout.

It gives me a fuzzy feeling when somebody types "Report and move on", it makes me think "why didn't they do that?" followed by "oh, the irony ... or is it hypocrisy?" lastly " scroll up and click on The Escapist Forums".

On topic, report the fuzzy lil fella then click "The Escapist Forums" or "Off-topic Discussion/Gaming Discussion"

I would loooooove to see more troll threads be locked without a single post by the community at large. It would do my heart so much good to see that.

It depends, I usually report and leave, but if no one/a couple people have responded, I'll often post a big, hard to miss image that says "don't feed trolls"

If I do that, I'll check back to see if it worked. I stopped a few troll threads during the New Year's Invasion this way.

Usually I just report and ignore, occasionally going to the user's profile to report them from there as well if they're a consistent troll.

Sometimes I feel motivated to comment, but only usually if someone else has already commented and I'm responding to their comment.
