Poll: I can't tell if Stephenie Meyer is trolling or just a major sell out.

Sorry to be aggressive, just false connection between intelligence and other things piss me off hard...
There's a connection between sounding like an idiot and being an idiot. If your intention was to avoid such a connection, silence would have been your best answer.

A sellout. Which is what I plan to be hands-down when I finally write my book. Got the premise of it.

I also plan to write, or help write the script, and learn how to direct.

Neither, she is doing what she does to make as much money as possible. It's a popular series and she knows a few people will buy what ever it has it's name on

Well, she seems to honestly believe her books don't suck huge septic balls. Which they do. All day long.

So maybe she thinks she's helping people? And by people, I mean 12 year old girls. And by help, I mean rip off.

I went to hot topic to buy a hooded jacket about a week ago, and found my (no) surprise about a billion twilight things. I bet she could make twilight toilet paper and still get her money back. perhaps she realizes that people out there are obsess enough to buy all that shit.

So before this thread dies in the next few hours, I am going to say neither. She isn't a troll because she isn't writing Twilight books just to piss people off, and she didn't sell out because that would require talent/standards. All she is is an incredibly untalented person who wrote an incredibly shite book that happened to become incredibly popular and make her incredibly wealthy. So I suppose she is just incredibly lucky and to balance all that luck off everyone that isn't a teenage girl is incredibly unlucky. Also I am aware I used the word incredibly a lot.

I've never read her books, but I appreciate the movies because it's not the standard vampire fare.
Yes its another teen love story, but there's always more to it..

Of course I could say the same about JRPGs or Metal Gear games..or Half Life games..

Yes its another final fantasy but it doesn't follow standard JRPG canon..

You should really hate your girlfriend for working at a terrible trend shop like Hot Topic if something like this gets you mad, just saying.

Honestly, she barely did that. The Vampire Diaries were made nearly a decade before and is really similar to Twilight, it just wasn't as popular. The plot may as well have been a copy-paste job.

So my friend called me about an hour ago. So he tells me "Dude I'm watching New Moon."
Me- "...Why?"
Him-"Because I'm going to boycott it."

Now I'm not sure if this is retardation on his part or he's just coming up with excuses, but God that Twilight fever is hitting everyone, apparently. (Not me thank God)

Oh yes and Twilight is evil, setting unreasonable expectations for men to follow up to if they expect to get in a relationship. I was reading something and saw that some chick broke up with her boyfriend because the dude wasn't enough like Edward Cullen. Now I should say something here but I still am trying to figure out how anyone can be so stupid.

How can a person "sell out" if they have no artistic integrity to start with?

So she's like Frankenstein then? Only of bad literature.

Personally, I think that Meyer is just a terrible writer who managed to find a niche that needed filling (vampire/werewolf stories aimed at teenage girls instead of guys). There's never been much of that type of fiction aimed at young women, just look at fantasy art and book covers.

She wants money. She wants lots of money, and she knows that she can get lots of money by continuing her book series and milking it for all it's worth. All people are out for money and stuff, and she's found a perfect place to get it from.

So yeah, sellout, just like every single person ever.

Would that be an educated guess then?
Yeah, you caught me. My daily life brings me into constant contact with Robert Pattinson's penis.
