Sorry for the poor quality, dont have access to a scanner

just randomly doodling it eventually turned into this, in pencil and fine liner inspired after playing left 4 dead

Any feedback is welcome please be honest I can take it : )

EDIT: In regards to the laundromat floor yeah I know its completley off that was more lazyness than anything else as I just wanted to get the thing done

The characters all look pretty good, but they don't feel like they're sitting on the plane that you've put them on, the perspective is too extreme, and it feels like if they were actually in that room they'd be falling everywhere because it would be so extremely tilted. The place where this is most obvious is in the room with the tiled floor. If you work on getting your perspective to match the characters, it'll help a lot.

Very nice for a "random doodle"! If you really want it to have an emotional impact, put a sad piano tune to it and reverse time to show how they got there!

But yeah, I love the little details, like the posters and junk scattered around.

Your character proportioning is a bit off and perspective of the enivronment is way off too. Still okay though, nothing a bit of practice won't fix.

Time for some shameless self promotion of my own...

It's hilarious, I don't know if that is a compliment or not but it's all I got.

It's not stunning or technically amazing but it made me chuckle so it gets a 4

Edit: come on guys the extendo dog alone makes it awesome

You can draw, but the perspective is very much off, as are some of the proportions. Even those taken out of the question, it looks very sketchy. You should hone it to no end. Progress ends when you're completely satisfied and absolutely bored with it.

We have a specific thread for this kind of thing, it's called "the artist in thee". It's one of the largest and longest running threads on the site. It was unnecessary to make this thread purely because of the existence of that thread. Here is a link to it. [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.72805-The-artist-in-thee]

I'll be honest: It looks a bit amateurish.
of coarse it does, I am an amateur after all..anyway yeah I need to work on human antatomay and proportions more, see the main problem is when I draw charachters they seem...stiff and not natural (yes the laundry floor is off, that was lazyness)

Really not bad. Proportionally its very well done and the coloring is great. The inside and outside don't quite mesh up, but thats just a small nitpick. I gave it a four out of five.

In other news...
Yay, an art thread!

Can somebody tell me how to make my picture smaller. Never quite learned how to do that....

No problem. You image isn't properly loading on my computer right now or I would provide you with a full crit.
EDIT: Okay it loaded. You figures aren't awful but they definitely lack polish and knowledge of human anatomy. Similarly your perspective is totally out of whack. There seem to be multiple perspectives within the single image and none of them make a particular amount of sense. I would put some time into studying one and two-point perspective. Overall the drawing simply shows a lack of training. You have potential to get some good work produced, but you'll need to work on studies. The composition is very weighted and unbalanced. There's far too much going on the right half and almost nothing going on in the left half, making it easily ignored. Bear in mind that the eye moves across a drawing from left to right most of the time; it's your job as an artist to keep the eye moving around your drawing. Perspective, composition and anatomy in particular. As a final piece of advice, never use pencil and pencil crayon together. It nearly always looks muddy.

Most image editing software has it built in. In PS, for example, you use the drop-downs thusly: Image>Image Size and adjust the width or height accordingly. PS automatically scales it. In Illustrator it's also fairly simple. Right click on your image, select Adjustments>Scale and then make sure the scale is 1-1, and select the percentage you would like it scaled by.

Just out of interest specifically what parts look the most off proportionally?

A lot of things done right, but with no shortage of room for improvement. My own drawing would be a 1 by virtue of there being nothing lower, of course.

Ever hear of, "Dresden Codak"? well the artist starting posting, mixed with random artwork, a series of articles about the real nitty gritty about what makes comics work and work well. I don't draw, and even I find them fascinating. You should look through them.
