I know a lot of people have automatically condemned the 3DS as "gimmicky bullshit" but i do not see it that way. It has a couple good games and has a lot of potential. Do you own a 3ds?

I still have not played super mario 3d land and i look forward to mario kart 7 and tales of the abyss 3d

EDIT: Ofcourse the site ate my poll. Tanfastic

Yep, I've owned one since it came out. Sadly I'm heavily lacking in the games department, but hopefully that will be remedied come Christmas.

Never gonna buy one. I have lost all faith in Nintendo. All they can think of is nostalgic crap or straight up bullshit. While I loved Mario and all... New ideas are great too you know.

The day Nintendo makes a decent console is the day I consider trusting them again.

I don't, but now that they actually seem to have some decent titles coming out for the thing I'm pondering it...although I'm not really that fussed about the 3D idea so much as I am getting to play MGS3, Ocarina of Time, Rayman and even that new Mario game to a lesser degree on the go. Plus if they have backwards-compatibility I can get into all those games I missed on the original DS as I didn't get that either. Hmm, it's one to mull over at least...

I got mine back in May and so far I only have one game for it: Resident Evil The Mercenaries 3D.

The only gripe I have with the system is that 3D games in motion seem to stop looking 3D only a few seconds in. It?s like I have to bring my character to a complete stop to admire the illusion.

I got one but haven't played in a while. Plan on buying a few titles when I get the money. Mario Kart 7, Cave Story, Kid Icarus. Those three are a definite yes. But I may get more. I'd get them online if you live in Australia, I picked up Super Street Fighter and Pilotwings for about $20 brand new from Ebay, rather than $40-50. Luckily, those 2 titles were only worth $20.

Anyone have that new Pokemon game? I haven't heard anything about it so I'm guessing it's not too good.

No. I would love to play mario 3ds but the rest is not worth my time. I already played zelda oot and starfox and tales, why should I pay full price to play the same game again? It's just too much of a gimmick hence the only thing released for it are nintendo games as opposed to the ds which had a HUGE library of third party games.

No third party support, no 3ds. simple as that

Chrismas is like a month away , good luck .

OT: nope , not until some good jrpgs come out on the thing, that and i don't travel anymore . I used to live 2 hours away from work so the ds was good for the ride, now i live 15 minutes , so i lose my game time . It's a shame too , if you knew hoe many games i played while going to work back in the day.

Nah. Not fond of handhelds. I own a PSP and a DS, but I haven't bothered to charge either in months. Any system where the display is tiny and on the controller is a pain to play for me.

I don't need to buy one because I can steal my boyfriend's whenever I stay at his house. (Yes, we spend our nights together playing games separately and practically ignoring each other. Nah, it's better than it sounds. :p )

If that weren't the case I don't think I'd buy one because I'm dead poor at the moment plus uni work means I can't entirely justify shelling out for a machine that eats into my working time. But I'd probably get one after uni because it's a good system, has good games on it, and because being able to take 3D photos is dead neat. (As an art student I'm still trying to think of a way to make a cool project experimenting with it...)

I bought a 3DS when there was a price drop a few months back. Ocarina of time and Street Fighter 4 were fun. But that was it. Only DS games. I might give 3d Mario a look.

I do have a 3DS, but frankly, I've barely used it. I bought it with the promise of Kid Icarus and Layton vrs Phoenix Wright fresh in my mind, but I've yet to see hide or hair of those titles. It seems kind of funny to me that Nintendo is lamenting poor 3DS sales when they only have remakes and B titles out for it. Mario 3D is the first thing that they've released that seems like a genuine swing at a decent 3DS game.

I've got the limited editon Legend of Zelda one on pre-order on Amazon. Comes with Ocarina of Time, then it's just a wait until a new Ace Attorney...

I have it , it is a really fun game though i am a bit disappointed in how easy(up till the point i played) the mario games have become. Though the way they try to extend the game is a fun twist. Not spoiling the surprise.
