Poll: I like halo how alone am i?

I was once held in high regard on this site as 'Resident Halo Fan' and to this day am still quite recognised for that if nothing else.
I've played and or own:
Halo: Combat Evolved
Halo 2
Halo 3
Halo 3: ODST
Halo: Reach (beta)

I also read the books and I own a dvd copy of Halo Legends. I also have mounted on my shelves many collectables from the franchise such as a statuette of the Arbiter that sits among my DVD collection.

So great is my fandom.

Story sounds interesting on paper, but it's pretty meh in the game.

Yes, it's a good game series. Solid all around. The only problem are the people who play/talk about it.
Plus I think the zombie modes in halo are worlds better than L4D. But that's just my opinion.

Halo came out, everybody loved it. Then people started hating it because it was cool and edgy, and nobody did it before them.

I kinda hate that argument, I don't like Halo. Not because it's cool to hate it, but because there are things I don't like gaming wise. I play very few FPS games so that's part of the reason I don't like Halo, it doesn't measure up to what I like in a game.

Well, if you're a fan of a game who hates the rest of the game's fan base, you aren't alone. I've kinda taken a liking to the Gears of War games, but for vastly different reasons than most. I don't think I would get along well with most other Gearheads.

Why's that? I'm a Gearhead, and interested to hear what it is that makes you think you wouldn't get along.

I'm not exactly a Halo fan, i used to think it was great but then i realised that it was nothing but a glorified Doom clone without the stylish music, however, my opinion means nothing.
